Jeong So-yeon (Korean : 정소연; born May 5, 1994), known mononymously as Soyeon, is a South Korean singer. She debuted in 2014 as the vocalist of the South Korean girl group Laboum. In 2022, she became a member of the project supergroup WSG Wannabe. [1]
Jeong So-yeon was born in Gwangju on May 4, 1994. [2] She attended Gwangju Cultural Middle School. [3] In 2011, Jeong was a contestant on the South Korean television talent show series Superstar K 3 , where she appeared with her school friend and fellow K-pop idol Bae Suzy. [4]
Jeong made her debut in August 2014 as the vocalist of the South Korean girl group Laboum. [5] Aside from her group activities, she has participated in a number of soundtracks for South Korean television series since early in her career. She is an active songwriter and has composed songs for both Laboum and other artists, including the title track of Laboum's 2018 single album Between Us. [5]
In 2016, Jeong was a cast member and contestant on the South Korean television singing competition Girl Spirit . [6]
Following the resurgence of Laboum on South Korean music charts after they were featured on the reality/variety television show Hangout with Yoo , Jeong has auditioned on the show to become a member of the project supergroup WSG Wannabe. [7] [1] She successfully passed the audition and became a member of the Gaya-G sub-unit, which went on to claim a first place all-kill on South Korean music charts. [8]

SG Wannabe is a South Korean vocal group consisting of members Kim Yong-jun, Kim Jin-ho and Lee Seok-hoon. The group debuted in January 2004 with the single, "Timeless", from the album SG Wanna Be+, and won Best New Artist at the Golden Disc Awards, Seoul Music Awards, and SBS Gayo Daejeon. The group's second album, Saldaga, was the best-selling album of 2005 in South Korea and won Album of the Year at the Golden Disc Awards. Their next two albums, The 3rd Masterpiece (2006) and The Sentimental Chord (2007) were also commercial and critical successes.
Saldaga is the second studio album by South Korean vocal group SG Wannabe, released through Mnet Media on March 23, 2005. The record spawned two number one singles: "Sin and Punishment", which received numerous awards both for the music video and for the song itself, and "Saldaga". Like its predecessor, "Saldaga" was able to attract media attention for the group's vocal ability, thus SG Wannabe became the only artist in 2005 to sell more than 400,000 copies of their album. The album has sold 485,926 copies.
Park So-yeon, referred to as Soyeon, is a South Korean singer and actress. She debuted as a member of girl group T-ara in July 2009. She debuted as a solo artist in 2021.

Blossom is the third extended play (EP) by South Korean girl group Laboum. It was released on November 3, 2021, by Interpark Music Plus. WSG Wannabe (Korean: WSG워너비) is a seasonal South Korean supergroup formed on the MBC variety show Hangout with Yoo, and was a female counterpart of MSG Wannabe which formed in the previous year. The group, which officially formed on May 26, 2022, consists of twelve members : Yoon Eun-hye, Navi, Lee Bo-ram, Kota, Park Jin-joo, Jo Hyun-ah, Sole, Soyeon (Laboum), Eom Ji-yoon, Kwon Jin-ah, Hynn and Jung Ji-so. The group released their debut album and tracks on July 9, 2022.

Women's Generation (Korean: 여성시대) is the first project single by South Korean girl groups SeeYa, Davichi, and T-ara released on May 6, 2009. Its musical styles revolve around themes of women's empowerment. Though T-ara is officially credited on all tracks of the single, only Ji-yeon participated in singing and performing. A second special project single, titled Wonder Woman was released a year later following the success of the first featuring SeeYa, Davichi, and T-ara.
Wonder Woman (Korean: 원더우먼) is the second project single by South Korean girl groups SeeYa, Davichi, and T-ara released on January 7, 2010. It is a follow up to their previous single released together, Women's Generation, with the music style continuing to revolve around themes of women's empowerment, hence the name Wonder Woman. Although T-ara is officially credited on the single, only Eunjung and Hyomin participated in the song.
