Jerome Farah, is an Australian singer, songwriter and producer. Farah co-wrote and co-produced "Waiting" with Kian [1] before releasing his debut single in 2020.

Early life

Jerome Farah is the son of a Lebanese father and a Zimbabwean mother and grew up in suburban Melbourne. [1]

Originally a dancer, Farah transited into music, collaborating with the likes of Adrian Eagle, Baker Boy and Dallas Woods and Kian. [1]

Music career

2018-present

In 2018, Farah co-wrote and co-produced "Waiting" with Kian which won Most Performed Australian Work of the Year and Most Performed Alternative Work of the Year at the APRA Music Awards of 2020. [2] [3] [4]

On 26 June 2020, Farah released his debut single "I Can't Breathe". The song discusses racism and police brutality. [5] On 19 July 2020, Farah performed the song on the series premiere of Australian live music program The Sound . [6]

Stuart Leslie MacLeod is the guitarist and backup singer of the Australian band, Eskimo Joe. He lives in Fremantle, Western Australia. When he was seven he lived next door to Kavyen Temperley and they have been best friends for years. MacLeod and Temperley attended John Curtin Senior High School together. MacLeod then went on to study Engineering and Commerce at the University of Western Australia. In 1997 MacLeod started jamming with Temperley, who was in a band, Freud's Pillow. MacLeod co-wrote several Freud's Pillow's songs. The pair decided to form a new band and auditioned a few drummers before settling on Joel Quartermain, who was a guitarist in Freud's Pillow, but had mentioned he also played drums. MacLeod and Temperley decided Quartermain was more musical than any other drummer they had auditioned. They then entered the band, Eskimo Joe, into the Australian National Campus Band Competition.
