The Sound is an Australian music program broadcast on the ABC, which first screened on Sunday 19 July 2020. The program is hosted by Jane Gazzo and Zan Rowe with a special guest co-host each week. It is created and filmed by Mushroom Vision and screens on Sundays at 5.30pm with a replay on Saturdays at 12.30pm. [2] The pre-recorded live performances are also available to watch on ABC iview. The Sound features pre-recorded live performances, music videos of new releases and interviews with artists, highlighting Australia's "best and upcoming talent". The program features a historical segment called "The Vault", which shows an iconic Australian performance, as well as "A Tribute" which pays tribute to "great Australian tracks" where various artists perform collaboratively. A second series commenced on 1 November 2020. [3]
A third series was announced in October 2021 and premiered on 7 November 2021, at a shorter length of 30 minutes per episode. [4]

Richard Kingsmill is an Australian radio announcer and music journalist. He worked for ABC radio station triple j from 1988 until his redundancy in December 2023, and was the station's longest-serving presenter. From 2017 he was group music director of triple j, triple j Unearthed, Double J, ABC Country, and ABC Local Radio.
Myfanwy Warhurst is an Australian radio announcer and television personality, best known for her work at Triple J radio station and on ABC Television's long-running music-themed quiz show Spicks and Specks. As of 2022 she has an ongoing role as Australia's commentator for the Eurovision Song Contest alongside Joel Creasey, and as co-host of the weekly podcast Bang On. She also provides the voices of Aunt Trixie and Indy's Mum in the Australian animated show Bluey.
Michael Solomon Gudinski AM was an Australian record executive and promoter who was a leading figure in the Australian music industry. Born and raised in Melbourne to Jewish Russian immigrants, Gudinski formed the highly successful Australian record company Mushroom Records in 1972 through which he signed several generations of Australian musicians and performers ranging from MacKenzie Theory, the Skyhooks, The Choirboys, Kylie Minogue, and New Zealand's Split Enz to newer artists such as Eskimo Joe, Evermore and others.

Dirty Jobs is an American television series that originally aired on the Discovery Channel in which host Mike Rowe is shown performing difficult, strange, disgusting, or messy occupational duties alongside the job's current employees. The show, produced by Pilgrim Films & Television, premiered with three pilot episodes in November 2003. It returned as a series on July 26, 2005, running for eight seasons until September 12, 2012. The show's setting was refocused in Australia for the final season, called Dirty Jobs Down Under. A spinoff miniseries titled Dirty Jobs: Rowe'd Trip premiered on July 7, 2020. The original series returned on January 2, 2022.

Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow is a British stand-up comedy television series hosted by comedian Michael McIntyre from different venues around the United Kingdom and Ireland.
