Jerrel Marquis Jernigan (born June 14, 1989) is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the New York Giants in the third round of the 2011 NFL draft and won Super Bowl XLVI with the team against the New England Patriots. He played college football for the Troy Trojans.
He was considered one of the best wide receiver prospects for the 2011 NFL Draft. He was a starter all four years for the Trojans. Jernigan's body frame and playing style was compared to the likes of DeSean Jackson and Steve Smith. [1]
Jernigan was selected by the New York Giants in the third round with the 83rd overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. [2] Through four seasons with the Giants, Jernigan played in 34 games catching 38 passes for 391 yards with 2 touchdowns. [3]
At the end of the 2011 season, Jernigan and the Giants appeared in Super Bowl XLVI. He had three kick returns for 71 net yards as the Giants defeated the New England Patriots by a score of 21–17. [4]
After not playing professional football in 2015, Jernigan signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League on April 12, 2016. [5]

Troy Fitzgerald Brown is an American football coach and former player who is a skill development and kick and punt returners coach for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He played as a wide receiver and return specialist for 15 seasons in the NFL, spending his entire career with the Patriots. Brown played college football at Marshall University and was selected by the Patriots in the eighth round of the 1993 NFL draft. During his New England tenure, he was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2001 and was a member of the franchise's first three Super Bowl-winning teams. In 2020, Brown rejoined the Patriots as an offensive assistant. He was inducted to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2010. Brown also was inducted to the Patriots Hall of Fame in 2012.
Irving Dale Fryar, Sr. is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons. Fryar played college football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and was recognized as an All-American. He was selected with the first overall pick of the 1984 NFL draft, becoming the second wide receiver to be taken number one overall, the first being Dave Parks in 1964. Fryar played professionally for the New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, Philadelphia Eagles, and Washington Redskins of the NFL. Known for his longevity, his best seasons statistically came well into his 30s, at a time when many receivers are on the tail end of their careers, and he played for 17 seasons, retiring at the age of 39 holding several NFL longevity records for receivers.
