Tom Quinn (born January 27, 1968) [1] is an American football coach who is currently the assistant special teams coach for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He previously spent 11 years as the special teams coordinator for the New York Giants, where he was a part of two Super Bowl-winning teams.
Quinn was hired by the Giants to serve as their assistant special teams coach under Mike Sweatman for the 2006 season. After one season, he was promoted to special teams coach. In 2007, Lawrence Tynes kicked a game-winning 47-yard field goal in overtime to send the Giants to Super Bowl XLII, as they defeated the Green Bay Packers 23–20. In 2011, Tynes again kicked a game-winning field goal in overtime, as his 31-yard kick sent the Giants to Super Bowl XLVI, as they defeated the San Francisco 49ers. During his tenure as special teams coach, the Giants have seen mixed results. His first season saw the Giants rank 11th in special teams. Since then, they have ranked near the middle or bottom of the league in each season. [2]
Following the 2017 season, Quinn was fired by the Giants, [3] however, he was re-hired as Assistant Special Teams Coach under Thomas McGaughey after the latter was diagnosed with cancer. [4] [5]
Following the 2021 season, Quinn was again relieved of duties by new head coach Brian Daboll. [6]
On March 21, 2023, the Tennessee Titans hired Quinn as the Titans' assistant special teams coach. [7] On December 4, 2023, Quinn became the special teams coordinator for the Titans after Vrabel fired coordinator Craig Aukerman. [8] The team finished 21st in the league that season. [9]
On February 19, 2024, Quinn was hired by the New England Patriots as their assistant special teams coach. [10]
Michael George Vrabel is an American football coach and former linebacker who is the head coach of the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Ohio State, where he was a consensus All-American. Vrabel then played in the NFL for 14 seasons, primarily as a member of the Patriots, where he became a three-time Super Bowl champion and a First-team All-Pro during his eight-year tenure. Noted for his versatility, Vrabel scored a receiving touchdown in consecutive Super Bowls, Super Bowl XXXVIII and Super Bowl XXXIX, becoming the only primarily defensive player to score in two Super Bowls.
Romeo Crennel is an American former football coach. A long-time coaching assistant to Bill Parcells, Crennel served as the head coach of the Cleveland Browns from 2005 to 2008 and the Kansas City Chiefs in 2012, as well an assistant coach for six NFL teams and four collegiate teams. He has over 50 years of coaching experience, which has included consistently being employed as a coach for all but two seasons since 1970, only taking the 2009 and 2013 seasons off following both of his tenures as a permanent head coach. He has won five Super Bowl wins as an assistant coach, two with the New York Giants and three with the New England Patriots.
Lawrence Alexander Izzo is an American football coach and former linebacker who is the special teams coordinator for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Rice Owls and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Miami Dolphins in 1996. A three-time Pro Bowl selection and All-Pro selection for the New England Patriots, he won three Super Bowls with the Patriots and one as a coach with the New York Giants.

Brian Michael Daboll is a Canadian American professional football coach who is the head coach of the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the offensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns, Miami Dolphins, Kansas City Chiefs, Alabama Crimson Tide, and Buffalo Bills. Daboll has also served in various capacities as an assistant coach for the New England Patriots from 2000 to 2006 and again from 2013 to 2016.
