JES Air was founded in 1991 and was one of the first privately owned airlines in Bulgaria. The airline was supported with capital from Singapore-based companies. JES Air was famous for its delays, but despite this, passengers used the airline because of the cheap prices it offered.

History

The first route for JES Air was SofiaNew York City, due to an agreement between the two countries, and it then expanded its destinations towards Canada and Asia.

One of the aircraft - LZ-JXB was wet leased to REGION AIR PTE. LTD., Singapore and took place in the creation of the new face of Vietnam Airlines. "JES Air" fell into bankruptcy only one year after it started flights and at the end of 1992 was re-registered in the Middle East and renamed.

Following the bankruptcy, REGION AIR PTE. LTD. had employed ex-JES Air Bulgarian pilots and engineers to continue with the development of Vietnam Airlines.

Royal Brunei Airlines Sdn Bhd (RB) is the national flag carrier airline of Brunei Darussalam, headquartered in the RB Campus in Bandar Seri Begawan. Tan Son Nhat International Airport Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport is the busiest airport in Vietnam with 32.5 million passengers in 2016 and 38.5 million passengers in 2018. It serves Ho Chi Minh City as well as the rest of southeastern Vietnam. As of January 2017, it had a total capacity of only 25 million passengers, which has caused constant congestion and sparked debate for expanding or building a new airport. The airport's IATA code, SGN, is derived from the city's former name of Saigon. It was the 25th busiest airport in the world in 2020.

BH Air Bulgarian charter airline

BH Air Ltd. is a Bulgarian registered airline based in Sofia. Part owned by Balkan Holidays Services based in Sofia, not Balkan Holidays Ltd the Tour Operator based in London. BH Air provides charter flights to tour operators in the UK, Scandinavia, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and other European countries, as well as ad hoc charters to other destinations. Also flights to Africa, Asia, and the Middle East are operated for groups traveling in connection with cultural and sports events and on business. The airline's main base is Sofia, with secondary ones at Bourgas, Varna and Plovdiv.

Air Vietnam

Active from 1951 to 1975, Air Viet Nam was South Vietnam's first commercial air carrier, headquartered in District 1, Saigon. Established under a decree by Chief of State Bảo Đại, the airline flew over two million passengers, throughout the Vietnam War, and until its collapse due to Fall of Saigon.

Nội Bài International Airport in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is the largest airport in Vietnam in terms of total capacity. It is also the largest airport in the country for cargo transport and the second busiest airport for passenger traffic, after Tan Son Nhat International Airport. It is currently the main airport serving Hanoi, replacing the role of Gia Lam Airport. The airport consists of two passenger terminals. Terminal 1 serves domestic flights, and the newly built Terminal 2 serves all international flights to and from Hanoi. The airport is currently the main hub of the flag carrier Vietnam Airlines, and budget carriers Bamboo Airways, Pacific Airlines and Vietjet Air.

Lien Khuong Airport Airport

Lien Khuong Airport is an airport located in Đức Trọng District, about 30 km south of Da Lat, Lâm Đồng Province. It is the largest among 4 airports in the Central Highlands region of Vietnam. The major reconstruction in order to handle bigger aircraft was completed in December 2009. This airport handled 1,690,000 passengers in 2019, an increase of 18.3% against that of 2014.

VietJet Aviation Joint Stock Company, trading as VietJet Air or Vietjet, is an international low-cost airline from Vietnam. It was the first privately owned new-age airline to be established in Vietnam, being granted its initial approval to operate by the Vietnamese Minister of Finance in November 2007. As of its launch in December 2011, it became the second private airline to offer domestic service in Vietnam, as well as the fifth airline overall to offer civil domestic flights. VietJet Air is owned by Sovico Holdings, HDBank, other organisational investors, and individual stakeholders.

Indochina Airlines was a Vietnamese airline based in Ho Chi Minh City. It was the first operational private airline based in Vietnam, originally licensed in May 2008 as Air Speed Up. The founder and chairman of the board was Vietnamese musician Hà Hùng Dũng. Indochina Airlines began selling tickets on 12 November 2008 and launched its first commercial flights from Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City to Nội Bài International Airport in Hanoi and Đà Nẵng International Airport in Đà Nẵng on 25 November 2008. After a series of difficulties, including unresolved debts and a decrease in customers, Indochina Airlines ceased flying on November 25, 2009; its schedule was revoked two days later.

Royal Air Cambodge was the flag carrier airline of Cambodia, headquartered in Phnom Penh.

Cambodia Bayon Airlines was an airline based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Its main hub was at Phnom Penh International Airport. The airline was a wholly owned subsidiary of Bayon Airlines Holding Ltd., which was in turn a subsidiary of the Chinese carrier Joy Air. It was registered in April 2014. The air operator's certificate was received in December 2014; the airline had its inaugural flight on December 31, 2014. Cambodia Bayon Airlines' first operational base in Cambodia was Phnom Penh. The company also had operational bases in Siem Reap, Sihanoukville and Ho Chi Minh City. The company slogan was For You. With You. About You.

Bamboo Airways JSC, operating as Bamboo Airways, is a Vietnamese leisure airline owned by the FLC Group, registered in Quy Nhơn, Vietnam, with a head office in Cầu Giấy District, Hanoi. Founded in 2017, the airline launched operations on 16 January 2019. It operates a mixed fleet of narrowbody and widebody aircraft, and has hubs at Noi Bai International Airport and Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

Vietstar Airlines Multirole Corporation, doing business as Vietstar Airlines, is a Vietnamese airline owned as a joint venture agreement with several aviation-related enterprises, registered in 28 Phan Thuc Duyen Street, Ward 4, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam with head office in Ho Chi Minh City. The airline was established with a charter capital of VND800 billion. The carrier started operations in early 2020.

Vietnam Airlines Flight 850

Vietnam Airlines Flight 850 was an international scheduled passenger flight from Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh City. On 4 September 1992, the Airbus A310-222 serving the flight was hijacked by Ly Tong, a former pilot in the Republic of Vietnam Air Force. He then dropped anti-communist leaflets over Ho Chi Minh City before parachuting out. Vietnamese security forces later arrested him on the ground. The aircraft landed safely, and no one on board was injured. He was released from a Hanoi prison in 1998.
