WQOW is a television station in Eau Claire,Wisconsin,United States,serving the Chippewa Valley as an affiliate of ABC. Owned by Allen Media Broadcasting,the station has studios on Friedeck Road in Eau Claire,and its transmitter is located in Altoona,Wisconsin.

The 23rd Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. A six-week abortion ban,also called a "fetal heartbeat bill" by proponents,is a law in the United States which makes abortion illegal as early as six weeks gestational age,which is when proponents falsely claim that a "fetal heartbeat" can be detected. Medical and reproductive health experts,including the American Medical Association and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists,say that the reference to a fetal heartbeat is medically inaccurate and intentionally misleading because a conceptus is not called a fetus until eight weeks after fertilization,as well as that at four weeks after fertilization,the embryo has no heart,only a group of cells which will become a heart. Medical professionals advise that a true fetal heartbeat cannot be detected until around 17 to 20 weeks of gestation when the chambers of the heart have become sufficiently developed.

In 2022,Roberts ran for the State Senate and won the race.
The Wisconsin State Assembly elections of 2022 were held on Tuesday,November 8,2022. All 99 seats in the Wisconsin State Assembly were up for election. This was the first election to take place after redistricting following the 2020 United States census. Before the election,61 Assembly seats were held by Republicans and 38 seats were held by Democrats. The primary election was held on August 9,2022.
The 2022 Wisconsin State Senate elections were held on Tuesday,November 8,2022. Seventeen of the 33 seats in the Wisconsin State Senate were up for election—the odd-numbered districts. This was the first election to take place after redistricting following the 2020 United States census. Before the election,21 Senate seats were held by Republicans and 12 seats were held by Democrats. 11 Republican seats and 6 Democratic seats were up in this election. The primary election took place on August 9,2022.
The Forty-Third Wisconsin Legislature convened from January 13,1897, to April 21,1897, in regular session. They also convened in a special session from August 17 through August 20, 1897.
