Beloit is a city in Rock County,Wisconsin,United States. As of the 2020 census,the city had a population of 36,657 people. Beloit is a principal city of the Janesville–Beloit metropolitan statistical area and is included in the Madison–Janesville–Beloit combined statistical area.

This was the first and only election to take place after redistricting following the 2020 United States census,where the courts had put in place maps set out in the Johnson decision. Before the election,61 Assembly seats were held by Republicans and 38 seats were held by Democrats. The primary election was held on August 9,2022.
