Jesse Moore (born 13 February 2003) is an Australian artistic gymnast. He is the 2022 and 2024 Oceanic Champion. He represented Australia at the 2024 Olympic Games.

Early life

Moore was born in 2003 in Ashford, South Australia. [1] He began gymnastics when he was six years old. [2]

Career

Junior

Moore won the under-12 category at the 2015 Australian Championships by only 0.065 after falling off the horizontal bar twice. [3] He went on to win three more consecutive national all-around titles in his age group from 2016 to 2018. [2] He made his international debut in 2018 and won a bronze medal on the horizontal bar at the 2018 Pacific Rim Championships. [4] He competed at the 2019 Junior World Championships, helping Australia placed 12th as a team and finishing 25th in the all-around. [5] [6] He qualified for the horizontal bar final and placed seventh. [7]

Senior

Moore made his senior international debut at the 2021 Oceania Championships and finished fourth in the all-around, missing out on the continental berth for the Tokyo Olympic Games. [8] He won the silver medal in the all-around at the 2021 Australian Championships. In the event finals, he won silver on floor exercise and parallel bars. [9]

In 2022, Moore received a scholarship from the Sport Australia Hall of Fame to fund his training. [8] He was the youngest member of Australia's artistic gymnastics team at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. [2] The Australian team placed fourth, 0.650 away from a medal. [10] He withdrew after the third rotation of the all-around final due to a shoulder injury. [1] He then withdrew from the horizontal bar final. [11] He still competed in the pommel horse event final and placed sixth. [12] He had surgery on his shoulder after the competition. [13]

Moore only competed on the floor exercise at the 2023 Australian Championships, placing tenth. [14] He was the alternate for the 2023 World Championships team. [15]

At the 2024 Australian Championships, Moore won the all-around title by over two points. [16] He then won the all-around gold medal at the 2024 Oceania Championships. [17] With the result, he earned the continental berth for the 2024 Olympic Games. [18] He is the first gymnast from South Australia to qualify for the Olympic Games. [19]

Manrique Larduet Bicet is a Cuban artistic gymnast. At the 2015 World Championships, he won the silver medal in the all-around- becoming Cuba's first World all-around medalist. He is also the 2015 World horizontal bar bronze medalist, and he represented Cuba at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He is the 2015 Pan American Games vault champion and all-around silver medalist. He is the 2018 Pan American all-around champion and a two-time Pan American champion on the parallel bars At the 2014 Pan American Sports Festival he won medals in every event, including the all-around gold. He withdrew from the 2020 Summer Olympics due to a dispute with the Cuban Gymnastics Federation, and he now lives and trains in Italy.

He is the 2019 European Championships all-around bronze medalist which made him the first gymnast from Cyprus to win a European medal. He is the 2019 European Games parallel bars silver medalist. At the 2018 Commonwealth Games, he won the gold medals in the floor exercise and parallel bars and the bronze medal in the all-around, and he won four bronze medals at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. He is the 2018 Mediterranean Games all-around and horizontal bar champion and the 2022 Mediterranean Games horizontal bar champion. He competed at the 2016, 2020, and 2024 Olympic Games.

Xiao Ruoteng is a Chinese artistic gymnast. He competed at the 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games, winning five medals. He is the 2017 World all-around champion and the 2018 World pommel horse champion. As a member of the Chinese team, he is a 2018 World champion and a two-time Asian Games champion. He is also the 2017 Asian all-around and pommel horse champion.

Maellyse Brassart is a Belgian artistic gymnast. She represented Belgium at the 2020 Summer Olympics and the 2024 Summer Olympics. She has competed at five World Championships.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Joe Fraser</span> British artistic gymnast

Joe Fraser is an English artistic gymnast. He is the 2022 European all-around and parallel bars champion and the 2019 world champion on the parallel bars. He is the first British gymnast to ever win gold in these events, and the third British world champion. As a member of the British Senior team since 2017, he has also won team gold and silver, and bronze on the pommel horse, in the European Artistic Gymnastic Championships. Representing England in the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Fraser won three gold medals in the team, pommel horse and parallel bars events.

Krisztofer Mészáros is a Hungarian artistic gymnast. At the 2022 European Championships, he won the silver medal on floor exercise and was Hungary's first European silver medalist on floor exercise. He won a bronze medal with the Hungarian team at the 2020 European Championships. He represented Hungary at the 2024 Summer Olympics, where he finished 9th in the men's artistic individual all-around final.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Lihie Raz</span> Israeli artistic gymnast (born 2003)

Lihie Raz is an Olympic artistic gymnast. Born in the United States, she represents Israel internationally. She won the bronze medal on the floor exercise at the 2020 European Championships, which was Israel's first medal at the European Women's Artistic Gymnastics Championships. She is also the 2019 and 2021 Israeli all-around champion. She represented Israel at the 2020 Summer Olympics and finished 59th in the all-around during qualifications, but did not advance to any finals. Raz represented Israel at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and came in 16th in the Women's vault, and 31st in the Women's All-Around qualification with a score of 51.632, just missing the final that had a cutoff of 51.698.

Ting Hua-tien is a Taiwanese artistic gymnast. She is the 2019 Asian champion and the 2022 Asian Games bronze medalist on the balance beam. She competed at the 2020 Olympic Games, making her the first Taiwanese female gymnast to compete at an Olympic Games since 1968. She qualified to represent Chinese Taipei at the 2024 Summer Olympics through the 2024 FIG World Cup series.

Zhang Boheng is a Chinese artistic gymnast. He competed at the 2024 Summer Olympics and won silver medals with the Chinese team and in the individual all-around. He also won a bronze medal on the horizontal bar. He is the 2021 World all-around champion and the 2022 World all-around silver medalist. He won three gold medals at the 2022 Asian Games and two gold medals at the 2021 World University Games.

Jana Hani Ismail Mahmoud is an Egyptian artistic gymnast. She won the all-around title at the 2024 African Championships and qualified for the 2024 Olympic Games. She is a two-time African champion on the floor exercise and is the 2022 African vault champion. She helped the Egyptian team win the team titles at the 2022 and 2024 African Championships. She represented Egypt at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
