Jiju Asokan (born May 18, 1977) is an Indian film director and Scriptwriter best known for his work in Malayalam cinema.
Jiju Asokan was born in Padiyur, Kerala with Asokan E.k and Valsala Asokan as his parents. Jiju Asokan completed his education at the SNVLP School, Padiyur and HDPHSS Edathirinji, and earned a degree from Christ College, Irinjalakuda and St. Theresa's kottakkal.
Jiju Asokan started his writing career writing and publishing many short stories in Mathrubhumi "Balapangthi". He made his debut as scriptwriter of the film Oridathoru Puzhayundu [1] which won the Kerala State Film Award in 2007. [2] His next project was Malayalam film Shakespeare M.A. Malayalam.
He was worked as an assistant director with Malayalam film director Jijo Appachan and made his debut as a director with the film Last Bench, [3] which participated in the film marketing workshop of 10th international film festival of kerala. Jiju's second directorial venture Urumbukal Urangarilla was released in 2015.[ citation needed ] His third movie Premasoothram (2018) released in May 2018.

Padmarajan Padmanabhan Pillai better known as P.Padmarajan was an Indian film maker, screenwriter and author who was known for his works in Malayalam literature and Malayalam cinema. He was the founder of a new school of film making in Malayalam cinema, along with Bharathan and K. G. George, in the 1980s.
Priyadarshan is an Indian film director and screenwriter who predominantly works in Malayalam and Hindi cinema. He was one of the first directors in India to introduce rich color grading, clear sound and quality dubbing through his early Malayalam films.

Dennis Joseph was an Indian scriptwriter and director known for his work in Malayalam films. He was active during the 1980s and early 1990s. He frequently collaborated with directors Joshiy and Thambi Kannanthanam. He is known for scripting films including Nirakkoottu (1985), Rajavinte Makan (1986), Shyama (1986), New Delhi (1987), No.20 Madras Mail (1990), Kottayam Kunjachan (1990), Indrajaalam (1990), Appu (1990), Akashadoothu (1993), Palayam (1994), and F.I.R. (1999). He also directed five films, including Manu Uncle, which won the National Film Award for Best Children's Film in 1988 and the Kerala State Film Award for the Best Children's Film in 1989.
Beautiful is a 2011 Indian Malayalam musical drama film written by Anoop Menon and directed by V. K. Prakash. The film stars Jayasurya, Anoop Menon and Meghana Raj in the lead roles. The cinematography was by Jomon T. John and the music was composed by Ratheesh Vegha. It tells the story about the intense bonding of two friends, one quadriplegic and the other a musician. The film released on 2 December 2011 to predominantly positive reviews and was a commercial success.
Oridathoru Puzhayundu is a 2008 Malayalam environmental film directed by Kalavoor Ravikumar, written and screenplay by Jiju Asokan, starring K. B. Venu, Jenny, Jayasree Sivadas, Goutham Babu, Balachandran Chullikad etc. The film is based on a real-life incident and is dedicated to the people of Plachimada. The film won the Kerala Film Critics Association Awards for the Best film for children of 2007. Jayasree Sivadas won the Kerala State and Kerala Film Critics awards for the best child artist.
Ozhimuri is a 2012 Indian Malayalam-language period drama film, directed by Madhupal and written by Jeyamohan and starring Lal, Mallika, Asif Ali, Bhavana and Shweta Menon in lead roles. The original songs and background score were composed by Bijibal. The film opened to critical acclaim but did not fare well at the box office. It was an official selection in the Indian Panorama section of the 43rd International Film Festival of India. It is widely regarded as one of the defining movies of the Malayalam New Wave.
Celluloid is a 2013 Indian Malayalam-language biographical film co-produced, written and directed by Kamal, starring Prithviraj, Sreenivasan, Mamta Mohandas and Chandni in the lead roles. The film is a biopic based on the life story of J.C. Daniel, the father of Malayalam cinema, the making of his film Vigathakumaran and the story of Vigathakumaran's heroine P. K. Rosie. The film is particularly based on Life of J. C. Daniel, a biography of J. C. Daniel written by Chelangatt Gopalakrishnan. Filming started in November 2012. The film's online posters were done by a 16-year-old boy Aswin which was viral in social medias. and it was released in February 2013. The film opened with positive reviews and received seven Kerala State Film Awards including for Best Film and Best Actor (Prithviraj). The movie received many awards and much appreciation with the support of All Lights Film Services (ALFS), a leading film festival consultancy. The film was a blockbuster at the box office.
Amen is a 2013 Indian Malayalam-language comedy-drama film directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery and written by P. S. Rafeeque from a story by Pellissery. The film revolves around the events that happen in a picturesque Kuttanadan village following the arrival of a young priest and a star-crossed lovers. The film stars Fahadh Faasil, Indrajith Sukumaran, Kalabhavan Mani, and Swathi Reddy. The film's songs and background score was composed by Prashant Pillai.
Jeethu Joseph is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer who predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. He has also worked in a few Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films. Jeethu made his directional debut with the 2007 police procedural, Detective. He is best known for the crime thrillers, Drishyam and Drishyam 2. Drishyam became the highest-grossing Malayalam film ever, at its time of release. It was the first Malayalam film to cross the ₹50 crore mark, at the box office. Drishyam 2 was released directly through Amazon Prime Video, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Like the prequel, it was highly acclaimed and appreciated, worldwide.

K. R. Sachidanandan, professionally credited as Sachy, was an Indian screenwriter, director, and film producer who worked in the Malayalam film industry. Premasoothram is a 2018 Indian Malayalam-language romantic comedy film written and directed by Jiju Asokan, based on the short story Jalajeevitham by Asokan Charuvil. The story is set in the period 1980-1990s. The film stars Chemban Vinod Jose, Balu Varghese, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Indrans, Sudheer Karamana and Lijomol Jose. The film was released in Kerala on 11 May 2018. The movie is about a student played by Balu Varghese in one way love with his own classmate played by Lijomol Jose. His antics in trying to woo her is the crux of the whole movie.
