Jil Grete Walter (born 9 July 2001) [1] is a Samoan archer who has represented Samoa at the Pacific Games and Youth Olympic Games. She is the daughter of Samoan archer Mua'ausa Walter. [2]

Walter started competing in archery at the age of nine. [3]

She represented Samoa at the 2017 Pacific Mini Games in Port Vila, Vanuatu, winning silver in both the women's individual recurve and mixed team recurve. [2]

She competed in the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but did not advance. [4]

At the 2019 Pacific Games in Apia she won gold in the women's recurve, [1] [3] [5] silver in the women's recurve matchplay, and gold (along with her father Mua'ausa Walter) in the mixed team matchplay. [6] [7] Following the competition she gave one of her gold medals to Samoan Prime Minister Tuila'epa Sa'ilele Malielegaoi after he withdrew from the mixed doubles compound category to allow a younger team member to compete. She won individual gold in two of the three stages of the World Cup—one in Guatemala and another in Paris. In the process she also reclaimed the number one ranking after nine years at the Paris World Cup. Deepika won individual gold medals at the Archery World Cup Stage 1. She defeated Mexico by 5–1 in the final to win the gold in Paris.

Jung Dasomi is an archer from South Korea who specialises in recurve archery. Jung made a highly successful debut in international archery in 2011, winning medals at the World Archery Championships, Archery World Cup and Summer Universiade, and concluding the year as the number one-ranked female recurve archer in the World Archery Rankings. She won two further medals in 2014 at the Asian Games before a downturn in form relegated her from the national team. Jung did not return to international archery competitions until 2018.

Chang Hye-jin is a South Korean former recurve archer. A two-time Olympic gold medalist, Chang was the Olympic champion in both the women's individual and women's team events at 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. She is also a former number one-ranked recurve archer, having headed the World Archery Rankings between 2017 and 2019.

Archery at the Pacific Games was first contested at the 1971 games at Papeete. Archery was made a core sport in 2021, and is thus required to be included at every subsequent edition of the Pacific Games. It has also been included in the Pacific Mini Games, firstly at Norfolk Island in 2001 and then Port Vila in 2017.

Archery at the 2019 Pacific Games in Apia, Samoa was held on 8–12 July 2019. The tournament was played on the outdoor target archery range at the Faleata Sports Complex in Tuanaimato, and included both recurve and compound bow events. Medals were awarded in men's and women's individual contests as well as for mixed team competitions.

Tatiana Andreoli is an Italian recurve archer. At the 2019 European Games held in Minsk, Belarus, she won the gold medal in the women's individual recurve event.

Casey Kaufhold is an American archer competing in women's recurve events. She won the silver medal in the women's individual event at the 2021 World Archery Championships held in Yankton, United States. She competed in the women's individual and women's team events at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan.

Kang Chae-young is a South Korean archer competing in women's recurve events. She has won numerous medals in archery competitions.

Sarah Bettles is a British archer competing in women's recurve events. She won the gold medal in the women's recurve team event at the 2019 European Games held in Minsk, Belarus. She also competed in the women's individual recurve event. Earlier in 2019, she won the bronze medal in the women's team recurve event at the World Archery Championships held in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands.

Bryony Michaela Pitman is a British archer competing in women's recurve events. She won the gold medal in the women's recurve team event at the 2019 European Games held in Minsk, Belarus. Earlier in 2019, she won the bronze medal in the women's team recurve event at the World Archery Championships held in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands.

Feng Hao is a Chinese archer competing in men's recurve events. He won the gold medal in the men's team recurve event at the 2019 World Archery Championships held in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands.

Lisa Barbelin is a French archer, who won the recurve events at the 2021 European Archery Championships, and 2022 European Indoor Archery Championships. She has previously won multiple medals at the World Youth Archery Championships, and won bronze medals in events at the 2019 and 2022 Archery World Cups. In June 2021 she was the world's number one ranked competitor. Barbelin competed in the women’s individual event at the 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games, winning the bronze medal in the latter.

An San is a South Korean archer competing in women's recurve events. She won three gold medals at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in the women's team, mixed team and individual events, becoming the first archer in Olympic history to do so at a single Games. An also set a new Olympic Record scoring 680 points at the Women's Individual Archery's Ranking Round. The previous record of 673 points was set by Ukrainian Lina Herasymenko at the 1996 Summer Olympics.

Michelle Kroppen is a German archer. She competed in the women's individual event, and women's team, at the 2020 Summer Olympics, winning a bronze medal.

Naifoua Vise Timai is a Samoan archer who has represented Samoa at the Pacific Games.
