James M. "Jim" Hoops is an American politician who has served as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives. Appointed in 2018,he previously served four terms representing the same seat from 1999 to 2006. As Henry County Auditor,Hoops opted to succeed Lynn Wachtmann,who was running for the Ohio Senate,and won his seat in 1998. [1] He went on to win reelection in 2000,2002 and in 2004. [2]
By 2006,Hoops was term limited,and was unable to seek another term in the House. Instead,he opted to run for the Ohio Senate,to again succeed Wachtmann. However,Steve Buehrer,another Republican term-limited Representative,was opting for the seat as well. [3] However,he lost the nomination for the seat,ending his time in the legislature. He has since returned to Napoleon,Ohio and to the private sector.
In 2018,Hoops returned to the Ohio House of Representatives to succeed Rob McColley,who was appointed to the Ohio Senate following Senator Cliff Hite's resignation due to sexual harassment allegations. [4] He won a full term in 2018.
James Allan Barcia is an American Democratic politician from Michigan. He has served successively in the Michigan House of Representatives,the Michigan Senate,the United States House of Representatives and then again the Michigan Senate,from which he was term-limited in January 2011. He has served as County Executive of Bay County,Michigan,since January,2017.
Teresa Fedor is an American politician from Ohio. She was a member of the Ohio Senate,representing the 11th district from 2019 until her resignation in 2022. A member of the Ohio General Assembly since 2001,Fedor previously represented the same seat in the Senate from 2003 to 2010,and was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives for five nonconsecutive terms,serving from 2001 to 2002,and again from 2011 to 2018. A Democrat,Fedor represented Toledo and the surrounding areas.

The Alabama Republican Party is the state affiliate of the Republican Party in Alabama. It is the dominant political party in Alabama. The state party is governed by the Alabama Republican Executive Committee. The committee usually meets twice a year. As of the February 23,2019 meeting in Birmingham,the committee is composed of 463 members. Most of the committee's members are elected in district elections across Alabama. The district members are elected in the Republican Primary once every four years,with the most recent election for the committee having been on June 5,2018. The new committee takes office following the general election in November 2018. In addition,all 67 county GOP chairmen have automatic seats as voting members. The state chairman can appoint 10 members. Each county committee can appoint bonus members based on a formula that theoretically could add 312 seats,although that formula currently calls for only about 50 seats.
Stephen P. Buehrer is a former Republican member of the Ohio Senate who represented the 1st district,and was an unsuccessful candidate for U.S. Congress in the special election for Ohio's 5th congressional district to replace the late Paul Gillmor. Buehrer served as director of the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation until April 2016.
Randall L. Gardner is an American politician. He formerly served as a Republican member of the Ohio Senate,serving the 2nd District from 2013–2018. He formerly held the same district from 2001 to 2008,and was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives from 1985 to 2000,and from 2008 to 2012. In January 2019 Governor Mike Dewine appointed Gardner as the Chancellor of the Ohio Department of Higher Education.
Cliff Hite is a Republican politician who formerly represented the 1st district of the Ohio Senate from 2011 to 2017. Before serving in the senate,he represented the Ohio House of Representatives from 2007 to 2011. He was the Chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee before resigning on October 17,2017.

William J. Seitz III is the state representative for the 30th district of the Ohio House of Representatives. He is a Republican. The district consists of Cheviot,Delhi Township,Green as well as portions of Cincinnati,in Hamilton County. Formerly,Seitz represented the same seat from 2001 to 2007. He served in the Ohio Senate from 2007 to 2016. He has also served as Majority Leader since 2017 serving under five different speakers and two interim speakers. After 24 years in the Ohio General Assembly,Seitz has decided to retire at the end of his term in 2024.
Kirk Schuring is an American politician serving as a member of the Ohio Senate. He served as interim Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives,following the resignation of Speaker Cliff Rosenberger. Rosenberger resigned amid revelations he was under investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He was previously a member of the Ohio House of Representatives from 1993 to 2002,and from 2011 to 2018. Schuring also previously served in the Ohio Senate from 2003 to 2010. He was the Republican nominee for Ohio's 16th congressional district in the 2008 election. In 2018,Schuring was re-elected to the Ohio Senate,where represents the 29th district.
Jim Hughes is a former state representative for the 24th District of the Ohio House of Representatives. He is a Republican. The district consists of portions of Columbus,as well as Grove City,Hilliard,Upper Arlington,and Worthington in Franklin County. Hughes formerly was a member of the Ohio Senate from 2009 to 2016. He served in a similar seat in the House as well from 2000 to 2008.

Marguerite B. Lehner is the current Mayor of Kettering,Ohio. Formerly,she also served in the Ohio Senate,Ohio House of Representatives,and on the Kettering City Council. Her Senate district was located entirely in Montgomery County and included Vandalia,Riverside,Kettering,Centerville,Miamisburg and Germantown. Lehner is a Republican.
Lynn Wachtmann is a former Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives,who had represented the 81st District from 2007 to 2014. Prior to his term in the House,Wachtmann was a two-term state Senator,representing the 1st district of the Ohio Senate from 1999 to 2006,and the 83rd District of the Ohio House of Representatives from 1985 to 1998. He is the Chairman of the House Health and Aging Committee.
Annie Key is a former Democratic member of the Ohio House of Representatives,representing the 11th District from 2001 to 2006. A former telephone worker with Ohio Bell and later AT&T,Key initially ran for the Ohio House of Representatives in 2000 to succeed Troy Lee James,who had held the seat for 34 years and no longer could run due to term limits. She succeeded in her bid,and was seated on January 3,2001. She would go on to win reelection in 2002,and 2004. By her second term,Key was serving as the ranking Democratic member on the Ethics and Elections Committee.
The One Hundred Twenty-fifth Ohio General Assembly was the legislative body of the state of Ohio in 2003 and 2004. In this General Assembly,both the Ohio Senate and the Ohio House of Representatives were controlled by the Republican Party. In the Senate,there were 22 Republicans and 11 Democrats. In the House,there were 63 Republicans and 36 Democrats. It is also the first General Assembly to use redistricted legislative districts after the 2000 Census.
Ed Hooper is a Republican member of the Florida Senate,representing the 21st District,which includes Clearwater and Largo in northern Pinellas County and western Pasco County,since 2018.
Barry Levey was a Republican politician and a former member of the Ohio General Assembly. Levey initially was elected to the Ohio House of Representatives in 1962,representing the entirety of Butler County as an at-large district. He went on to win reelection in 1964. By 1966,the Voting Rights Act of 1965 had required state legislatures to have specific districts,and Levey won a seat to represent the new 39th House District. He was reelected to the seat in 1968. In 1970,Levey opted to not run for reelection to another term.
Marc Guthrie is a Democratic politician who formerly served in the Ohio General Assembly. Guthrie began his political career as a member of the Heath,Ohio City Council,and went on to serve six years as a Licking County,Ohio Commissioner. When Eugene Branstool opted to give up his seat in Ohio House of Representatives to run for the Ohio Senate,Guthrie entered the race to succeed him. He was successful,and was sworn into office on January 3,1983. He won reelection to the Ohio House five times.
