Jitender Kumar (born 1977) is an Indian boxer who has medaled twice at Commonwealth Games and represented India in both the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games. [1]
Jitender Kumar hails from Bhiwani, Haryana.[ citation needed ] He was trained at Sports Authority of India facility in Bhiwani under coach Jagdish Singh.[ citation needed ]
Kumar represented India at two consecutive Summer Olympics, starting with the middleweight category in the 2000 Olympic Games. At the 1998 Commonwealth Games he lost to John Pearce in the finals. In the 2002 commonwealth games, he lost to Oscar Williamson in the semi-finals. [2] In the national circuit, he fought in the heavyweight category as well. He was awarded the Arjuna award in 1999. Kumar qualified for the 2004 Athens Games by ending up in second place at the 1st AIBA Asian 2004 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Guangzhou, PR China. In the final he lost to South Korea's Song Hak-Seong.

Jagdish Singh is an Indian boxer and a boxing coach from Bhiwani district of the Indian state of Haryana. He founded the Bhiwani Boxing Club (BBC) in 2003, which produced four members of the five member boxing team in Beijing Olympics 2008, including the bronze medal winner, Vijender Singh. Subedar Manish Kaushik is an Indian boxer who completes in the lightweight division. He is employed with Indian Army as a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO). Kaushik won the gold medal at the Doha International Boxing Tournament, in his first international appearance. Two years later, Manish won gold at the 2017 National Boxing Games. Manish Kaushik later went to represent India in 2018 Commonwealth Games, winning the silver medal. He represented India in the lightweight division in the 2020 Summer Olympics. Manish hails from the village of Devsar in the Bhiwani district of Haryana. Manish Kaushik won abronze in the 63kg category at World Championships.
