Jo Dee Messina is the debut studio album by American country music singer Jo Dee Messina, released on March 26, 1996 through Curb Records. The album was co-produced by Tim McGraw and Byron Gallimore, who had also produced all of McGraw's albums. Messina co-wrote one song on the album, "On a Wing and a Prayer".

The album spawned four singles, including her debut single "Heads Carolina, Tails California", which became a big hit and peaked at number two on the US Hot Country Songs chart and number three on the Canadian RPM Country Tracks. The album also spawned the number-seven single "You're Not in Kansas Anymore". "Do You Wanna Make Something of It" and "He'd Never Seen Julie Cry" both failed to enter the top-fifty at country radio, although the former reached number 29 in Canada.

The album was not a commercial success, only peaking at number 22 on the Top Country Albums and number 146 on the Billboard 200. After the success of her following albums such as I'm Alright (1998) and Burn (2000), interest was regained in Jo Dee Messina and the album was later certified Gold by the RIAA in 2003.
