Josaia Rabele "Joe" Dakuitoga (born 25 September 1965), also known as Jo Rabele, is a Fijian professional rugby league coach who is the current coach of the Fiji Women aka Fiji Bulikula, and a former professional rugby league footballer.
In his playing career, Dakuitoga was a founding member of the national team at the 1992 Rugby League World Sevens. He played for the Penrith Panthers and the Sheffield Eagles, and represented Fiji at the 1995 World Cup. [2] He was later the coach of the Fijian team at the 2008 World Cup.
Dakuitoga played for the Penrith Panthers in the NSWRL Premiership, playing in seven matches between 1994 and 1995. He was selected for the Fijian squad in the 1995 World Cup. Following this tournament he signed with the Sheffield Eagles along with teammates Waisale Sovatabua and Malakai Yasa Kaunaivalu. [3] Dakuitoga spent two seasons at the Eagles.
While coaching the Nadera Panthers in the Fiji National Rugby League competition Dakuitoga was appointed the domestic national coach in 2007. [4] In 2008 he took the Fijian squad to the 2008 World Cup as head coach. [5]
In August 2020, Dakuitoga was appointed head coach of Fiji ahead of the 2021 World Cup. [5]
Dakuitoga was appointed Director of Coaching at Griffith Waratahs in the Group 20 Rugby League competition in 2023. [6]
Anthony Puletua, also known by the nickname of "TP", is a former professional rugby league footballer who last played for the Hull Kingston Rovers in the Super League. A New Zealand and Samoan international, Puletua previously played for the Penrith Panthers in the National Rugby League competition, primarily as second-row forward.
Cameron Ciraldo is a professional rugby league football coach who is the head coach of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the National Rugby League (NRL), and a former professional rugby league footballer. He is known as the defensive coach behind the Penrith Panthers back-to-back premierships in 2021 and 2022. He was previously the head coach of the Italy national team and an assistant coach of the Penrith Panthers in the NRL. During his playing career, Ciraldo played for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, Newcastle Knights and the Penrith Panthers, all in the NRL, and was selected to represent Italy. The Sheffield Eagles are a professional rugby league club based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. They play home games at the Olympic Legacy Park and compete in the Championship, the second tier of British rugby league.
Petero Civoniceva, is a Fijian-Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s. A Queensland State of Origin and Australian international representative prop forward, in 2009 he broke the record for most international matches for Australia of any forward in history. Civoniceva played his club football for the Brisbane Broncos, with whom he won the 1998, 2000 and 2006 NRL Premierships, as well as for the Penrith Panthers, whom he captained. Late in his career whilst playing for the Redcliffe Dolphins in the Queensland Cup, Civoniceva captained the Fiji national team in their 2013 Rugby League World Cup campaign. The Petero Civoniceva Medal is awarded to the Australian Fijian rugby league footballer of the year, while the Civoniceva Medal is awarded to the Queensland Cup player voted as the best and fairest.
