Sports are an important part of culture in the United States. Historically, the national sport has been baseball. However, in more recent decades, American football has been the most popular sport in terms of broadcast viewership audience. Basketball has grown into the mainstream American sports scene since the 1980s, with ice hockey and soccer doing the same around the turn of the 21st century. These sports comprise the "Big Five". In the first half of the 20th century, boxing and collegiate football were among the most popular sports after baseball. Golf, tennis, and collegiate basketball are other spectator sports with longstanding popularity. Most recently, Mixed martial arts, has been breaking records in attendance and broadcast viewership for all combat sports.
Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, commonly known as SHC or SH, is a Catholic school located in the Cathedral Hill neighborhood of San Francisco, California. Founded in 1852, Sacred Heart Cathedral is the oldest Catholic secondary school and was the first co-ed Catholic high school in San Francisco.

Sarah Hirini is a New Zealand women's rugby union player and two-time Olympic medalist. She plays for the New Zealand women's national rugby sevens team, and captained the Manawatu Sevens side that took out the 2013 National Women's Sevens title in Queenstown. She was named in the squad for the 2017 Women's Rugby World Cup.
Portia Woodman-Wickliffe is a New Zealand rugby union player. She plays fifteen-a-side and seven-a-side rugby union, and is a member of the New Zealand women's national rugby sevens team and New Zealand women's national rugby union team. Woodman was a member of the New Zealand Women's Sevens team when they won a gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
Charlotte Emily Caslick is an Australian professional representative and Olympic level rugby union player. She represents Australia in rugby sevens and in touch football. She won a gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Ben Pinkelman is an American rugby union former player and current coach. As a player, he represented the United States in rugby sevens and the traditional fifteens version of the game. By the age of 25 Pinkelman competed in the highest profile tournaments in rugby sevens and rugby fifteens — the 2016 Olympics in Rio and the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan. He debuted for the United States sevens team at the 2016 Wellington 7's. He last played in 2021, and retired due to back injury.
Harry McNulty is an Irish rugby union player who currently plays for the LA Giltinis of Major League Rugby (MLR). He also plays as a forward for the Ireland national rugby sevens team.
Michaela Blyde is a New Zealand professional rugby sevens player and Olympic gold medalist. She was the first female player to win back-to-back World Rugby Sevens Player of the Year titles in 2017 and 2018. She was a member of the New Zealand Sevens team which won a gold medal side at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Dietrich Roache is an Australian rugby sevens player. Roache was a member of the Australian men's rugby seven's squad at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The team came third in their pool and then lost to Fiji 19-0 in the quarterfinal. Roache plays club rugby union for Western Sydney Two Blues.
