Johanna Lindborg (born 8 July 1998) is a Swedish freestyle wrestler. She is a two-time European Championships medallist and represented Sweden at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. She has also won medals at junior world and continental championships. [1]
Lindborg began her international wrestling career at junior level. In 2018, she won the silver medal in the women’s 57 kg event at the European Junior Wrestling Championships in Rome, [2] and later that year took bronze at the Junior World Championships in Trnava, Slovakia. [3]
She competed at the 2019 European Games in Minsk, Belarus, in the 57 kg category and finished seventh overall. [4]
In 2020, Lindborg won the bronze medal in the women's 57 kg event at the European Wrestling Championships held in Rome. [5]
She represented Sweden at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, competing in the women’s freestyle 62 kg category and placing tenth. [6]
In 2025, she moved to the 62 kg weight class and reached the final of the European Wrestling Championships in Bratislava, winning the silver medal. She defeated Selvi İlyasoğlu (Turkey), Amina Capezan (Romania), and Luisa Niemesch (Germany) before losing to Iryna Bondar (Ukraine) in the final. [7]
