John Jiles (born July 8, 2000) is an American professional football wide receiver for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for Fort Scott Greyhounds, Virginia Union Panthers and West Florida Argonauts.
Coming out of high school, Jiles was rated as a three star recruit, where he decided to commit to play college football for the Marshall Thundering Herd. However, he failed to meet academic requirements and instead signed with Fort Scott Community College. [1]
In Jiles' first two seasons at Fort Scott CC, he totaled 95 receptions for 1,543 yards and 12 touchdowns, before deciding to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal. [2]
Jiles decided to transfer to play for the Virginia Union Panthers. [3] [4] In his lone season at Virginia Union, Jiles notched 40 receptions for 627 yards and nine touchdowns. [5] Jiles decided to once again enter his name into the transfer portal after the conclusion of the 2022 season. [6]
Jiles decided to transfer to play for the West Florida Argonauts. [7] [8] In Jiles lone season with West Florida, he hauled in 66 receptions for 1,255 yards and 16 touchdowns. [9] For his performance in the 2023 season, Jiles was named a Division 2 All-American. [10] After the conclusion of the 2023 season, Jiles decided to declare for the 2024 NFL draft. [11]

After not being selected in the 2024 NFL draft, Jiles signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent. [13] [14] He was waived on August 25. [15]
On September 24, Jiles signed to the practice squad of the New England Patriots. [16]
