World Series Cricket (WSC) was a commercial professional cricket competition staged between 1977 and 1979 which was organised by Kerry Packer and his Australian television network,Nine Network. WSC ran in commercial competition to established international cricket. World Series Cricket drastically changed the nature of cricket,and its influence continues to be felt today.
Gregory Stephen Chappell is a former cricketer who represented Australia at international level in both Tests and One-Day Internationals (ODI). The second of three brothers to play Test cricket,Chappell was the pre-eminent Australian batsman of his time who allied elegant stroke making to fierce concentration. An exceptional all round player who bowled medium pace and,at his retirement,held the world record for the most catches in Test cricket,Chappell's career straddled two eras as the game moved toward a greater level of professionalism after the WSC schism. He was the vice captain of the Australian squad which finished as runners-up at the 1975 Cricket World Cup.
Allan Robert Border is an Australian cricket commentator and former international cricketer. A batsman,Border was for many years the captain of the Australian team,and led his team to victory in the 1987 Cricket World Cup,the maiden world title for Australia. His playing nickname was "A.B.". He played 156 Test matches in his career,a record until it was passed by fellow Australian Steve Waugh. Border formerly held the world record for the number of consecutive Test appearances of 153,before it was surpassed in June 2018 by Alastair Cook,and is second on the list of number of Tests as captain.

Geraint Owen Jones is a former cricketer who played for both England and Papua New Guinea. Born to Welsh parents in Papua New Guinea,Jones was the first-choice wicketkeeper for the England cricket team between 2004 and 2006. He later played international cricket for Papua New Guinea from 2012 to 2014. He announced his retirement from first-class cricket in July 2015 following his resignation as the first-class cricket captain of Gloucestershire County Cricket Club.
Ian Andrew Healy is an Australian former international cricketer who played for Queensland domestically. A wicketkeeper and right-hand middle-order batsman,he first played international cricket in 1988,after six first-class games. Over the next decade,Healy was a member of the side as it enjoyed a period of success. By the time of his retirement,Healy held the world record for most Test dismissals by a wicket-keeper. He was a part of the Australian squad which finished as runners-up at the 1996 Cricket World Cup.
Andrew John Bichel is a former Australian cricketer,who played 19 Test matches and 67 One Day Internationals for Australia between 1997 and 2004. He was a right-arm medium-fast bowler,but was also a hard-hitting lower-order batsman.

Georgia Voll is an Australian cricketer who plays as a right-handed batter and occasional right-arm off break bowler for the Queensland Fire in the Women's National Cricket League (WNCL) and the Brisbane Heat in the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL). Voll made her debut for the Queensland Fire in February 2020. She made her WBBL debut for the Brisbane Heat in the 2020–21 tournament.
