John Orwin (born 20 March 1954 [1] ) is a former Rugby union lock. Orwin toured New Zealand with England playing in both tests in 1985. He then captained England on their tour to Australia & Fiji in 1988.

He played for and captained Gloucester, Bedford, the Barbarians the Royal Air Force, and Combined Services.

The 1993 England rugby union tour of Canada was a series of five matches played by the England national rugby union team in Canada in May and June 1993. England won four matches and lost one. They drew their two-match international series against Canada, losing the first game and winning the second. Sixteen England players were taking part in the 1993 British Lions tour to New Zealand at the time, and England did not award international caps for the matches with Canada.

The Royal Air Force Rugby Union (RAFRU) was formed in 1918 to administer the playing of rugby union in the Royal Air Force. It fields a representative side that competes in the Inter-Services tournament with the Army Rugby Union and the Royal Navy Rugby Union.
