Major General Johnny R. Miller was an Assistant Adjutant General of the Illinois Army National Guard. He served from 2011 to 2015.

Career

Miller was commissioned an officer in 1984 through the Early Commissioning Program at Wentworth Military Academy and College in Lexington, Missouri. [1] From 1986 to 1989, was stationed in Kitzingen Army Airfield in Germany, serving with the 63rd Armor Regiment and the 69th Armor Regiment.

After returning to the United States, he was stationed in Marion, Illinois. From 2003 to 2004, he was stationed in Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. In 2009, he was deployed to serve in the War in Afghanistan (2001–present). Miller assumed his command in 2011 and retired in 2015.

Awards he has received include the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the Army Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters, the Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal with one silver oak leaf cluster, the National Defense Service Medal with service star, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two campaign stars, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal with silver hourglass device, mobilization device and award numeral "2"; the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon with award numeral "2", the Meritorious Unit Commendation, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, the Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland, and the Silver Medal of the Armed Forces in the Service of the Fatherland [ citation needed ] of Poland.

With the retirement of Major General Thaddeus J. Martin of the Connecticut National Guard on June 30, 2018, General Dunbar became the longest serving Adjutant General in the United States. At the request of Governor Tony Evers, Dunbar resigned his post in the Wisconsin National Guard on December 9, 2019, for intentionally ignoring orders requiring outside investigations into claims of sexual assault and harassment as required by state and federal law and U.S. Department of Defense regulations.

Scott L. Thoele American military officer (b. 1958)

Scott L. Thoele was a major general in the National Guard of the United States. His final assignment was as Deputy Commanding General for the Reserve Component of United States Army Forces Command. Thoele previously served as Deputy Commanding General, Army National Guard, United States Army Combined Arms Center, Fort Leavenworth. He retired on 30 September 2015 after 14 years of service in the U.S. Army and 21 years of service in the Illinois Army National Guard.

John F. King

John F. King is an American military officer and the state of Georgia's Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner. He was appointed by Governor Brian Kemp as commissioner on July 1, 2019, replacing Jim Beck. Beck was elected in 2018, but suspended by Governor Kemp on May 16, 2019, pending an investigation into allegations of illegal activity committed prior to his taking office. After Beck's conviction of 37 criminal counts of fraud and money laundering on July 22, 2021, Beck was fully and immediately removed from office as per Georgia law, and King became the permanent insurance commissioner. King is a candidate for the position in 2022. King's appointment makes him the first Hispanic statewide official in Georgia's history. A native of Mexico, King is fluent in Spanish.

John B. Richardson IV U.S. Army general

John Buchanan Richardson IV is a United States Army major general who has been the commanding officer of the 1st Cavalry Division since July 21, 2021. He previously served as the Deputy Commanding General of the III Corps from September 2, 2020, to July 2021. Before that, he served as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, Plans, and Training of the United States Army Forces Command. Richardson is a 1991 graduate of the United States Military Academy.
