Johnathan Steinberg is an American Democratic Party politician currently serving as a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives from the 136th district, which encompasses part of Westport, since 2011. [1]

Early life and education

Steinberg grew up in Westport and graduated from Staples High School in 1974. [2]

Career

Steinberg was first elected in 2010 over Republican Nitzy Cohen. In 2021, Steinberg unsuccessfully sought election for First Selectman of Westport, losing to Republican Jennifer Tooker. [3] Steinberg currently serves as co-chair of the House Public Health Committee, and as a member of the Transportation Committee and the Energy and Technology Committee. [1]

Carlo Leone is an American politician serving as the senior adviser to ConnDOT commissioner Joseph Giulietti. Leone formerly represented the 27th district of the Connecticut State Senate as a Democrat from 2011 until his resignation in 2021. While in the State Senate, he served as deputy president pro tempore and chair of the Transportation Committee. Leone also served in the Connecticut House of Representatives representing the 148th district from 2003 to 2011. As a Democrat, he served as the deputy majority whip in the House of Representatives.

Patricia Billie Miller is an American politician serving as a member of the Connecticut State Senate from the 27th district. Miller was elected in a special election following the resignation of Carlo Leone. Previously, served in the Connecticut House of Representatives from the 145th district. Scott is a member of the Republican Party. Scott was elected to the seat during a special election which was held after incumbent Republican J.P. Sredzinski vacated the seat in February 2021. Scott beat out Democrat Nick Kapoor by over 7 points in the April 13th election. Most recently, Scott won re-election in a landslide, overwhelmingly beating his opponent by almost 20 points to win a second term in Hartford.

Michael DiGiovancarlo is an American Democratic Party politician currently serving as a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives from the 74th district, which includes part of the city of Waterbury since 2021. DiGiovancarlo was first elected to the seat in 2020, defeating incumbent Republican Stephanie Cummings by a 5.8% margin. Phil Young is an American Democratic Party politician who served as a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives from the 120th district, which includes part of Stratford, from 2018 to 2022. Young was first elected in 2018 during a special election against Republican Bill Cabral. In that year's general election, Young defeated Republican Jim Feehan by just 13 votes. Young defeated Feehan again in 2020 by a 2.6 point margin. In February 2022, Young announced that he will seek re-election in the 2022 Connecticut House of Representatives election but was unseated by Republican Laura Dancho. On March 5, 2022, it was reported that Kennedy would seek re-election in the upcoming 2022 elections. Kennedy currently serves as a member of the Appropriations, Public Health, and Education Committees and is also the Ranking Member of the Executive and Legislations Nominations Committee.

Michael Ferguson is an American Republican Party politician who served as a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives from the 138th district, which encompasses parts of Danbury, New Fairfield, and Ridgefield, from 2017 to 2019. Ferguson was first elected in 2016 over Democrat Jeff Tomchik. Ferguson was defeated in an upset victory by Democratic challenger Ken Gucker in 2018. He lost by just under 200 votes. Ferguson served as a member of both the Transportation Committee and the Education Committee while in the house.
