Hilda Santiago (born May 19,1955) is an American politician who has served in the Connecticut House of Representatives from the 84th district since 2013. Graduated at O.H. Platt High School in Meriden,Connecticut. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Southern Connecticut State University,majoring in History and Latin American Studies. [1] [2]

The Metacomet Trail is a 62.7-mile (100.9 km) Blue-Blazed hiking trail that traverses the Metacomet Ridge of central Connecticut and is a part of the newly designated New England National Scenic Trail. Despite being easily accessible and close to large population centers,the trail is considered remarkably rugged and scenic. The route includes many areas of unique ecologic,historic,and geologic interest. Notable features include waterfalls,dramatic cliff faces,woodlands,swamps,lakes,river flood plain,farmland,significant historic sites,and the summits of Talcott Mountain and the Hanging Hills. The Metacomet Trail is maintained largely through the efforts of the Connecticut Forest and Park Association.

The Hartford Line is a commuter rail service between New Haven,Connecticut,and Springfield,Massachusetts,using the Amtrak-owned New Haven–Springfield Line. CT Rail-branded trains provide service along the corridor,and riders can use Hartford Line tickets to travel on board most Amtrak trains along the corridor at the same prices. The Connecticut League,also known as the Connecticut State League,was a professional baseball association of teams in the state of Connecticut. The league began as offshoot of the original Connecticut State League,which dates back as far as 1884. In 1891,the Connecticut State League included the Ansonia Cuban Giants,a team made up of entirely African-American ballplayers,including future Hall of Famers Frank Grant and Sol White. In 1902,it was a Class D league with teams in eight cities. In 1905,the league became Class B,which lasted until 1913,when the league became the Eastern Association due to several teams outside of the state entering the league. Also a Class B league,it survived two more seasons,then folded after the 1914 season.
