Ronald A. Napoli Jr. (born November 2,1974) is an American politician who serves in the Connecticut House of Representatives representing the 73rd district in New Haven County. He is also an Alderman on the City of Waterbury Board of Aldermen.
Napoli Jr. was first elected to the Waterbury Board of Aldermen in 2011 and won subsequent re-elections in 2013,2015,and 2017. He also serves as the board's President Pro Tempore.
Napoli Jr. was elected in the general election on November 6,2018,winning 57 percent of the vote over 43 percent of Republican candidate Steven Giacomi. [1]

The city is 33 miles (53 km) southwest of Hartford and 77 miles (124 km) northeast of New York City. Elections were held on November 2,1937 to fill the New York City Council,which had just been formed to replace the New York City Board of Aldermen. The new Council comprised 26 members elected via proportional representation by borough,in contrast to the 65-member Board of Aldermen elected by district. This was done in response to the large majorities the Democrats often received in the Board of Aldermen. Each borough was entitled to one member of the council for each 75,000 votes cast,and an additional member for each remainder greater than 50,000.
