Jordan Emanuel is a model, journalist, philanthropist, Playboy's final Playmate of the Year (2019), Playmate of the Month for December 2018, and Miss Black America New York 2018. [1] She is the only Black Playboy Bunny to later became Playmate of the Year [2] and is a co-founder of the non-profit Women With Voices. [3]

Background

Jordan Emanuel was born in Baltimore, Maryland and raised in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. [7] Emanuel received a degree from the University of Miami, triple majoring in Broadcast Journalism, Music Business, and Art History. After graduating, she moved to New York, and pursued a career in journalism and "bringing life to images and converting ideas into thought-provoking video and digital content", [8] contributing content to Hollywood Life and Bossip. [9] She began modeling on a whim, posting "25 Days of Jordan" consecutively on social media, in celebration of her 25th birthday. [4] She has modeled for brands including Rimmel, Cover Girl, and Good American. [10]

In March 2023, Emanuel joined the cast of the Bravo reality TV series, Summer House: Martha's Vineyard , which is a spin-off based off the original series, Summer House . The series premiered on May 7, 2023. [11]

Emanuel appeared as one of the new cast members in the third season of Winter House , which premiered on October 24, 2023. [12]

Philanthropy

Jordan co-founded the non-profit organization Women With Voices which provides communal supportive spaces and resources for women. [9] Women with Voices is a Brooklyn, NY based women's empowerment 501(c)3 non-profit organization [13] [14] Emanuel describes the mission as focused on "empowering others." [15]

A Playboy Bunny is a cocktail waitress who works at a Playboy Club and selected through standardized training. Their costumes were made up of lingerie, inspired by the tuxedo-wearing Playboy rabbit mascot. This costume consisted of a strapless corset teddy, bunny ears, black sheer-to-waist pantyhose, a bow tie, a collar, cuffs and a fluffy cottontail. In more recent Playboy Clubs, such as Sin City that was re-opened in 2006, Playboy bunnies wore slightly altered costumes that were based on the original bunny suit.

Jennifer Jackson is an American model who was chosen as Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for the March 1965 issue. She was the first black Playmate of the Month and was photographed by Pompeo Posar. Jackson also worked as a Playboy Bunny in a Playboy Club.

Paul Leslie Snider was a Canadian nightclub promoter and pimp who murdered his estranged wife, Playboy model and actress Dorothy Stratten. Following her murder, Snider killed himself.
