Jordan Audra Sargent Kos (born June 25, 2000) is a female international Canadian lawn bowler. [2]

Personal

Kos started lawn bowling at the Regina Lawn Bowling Club [3] in May 2008 at the age of 7 years. Kos became a member of the Development Squad of Team Canada in 2014, at the age of 14 years - the youngest player every to do so. [4] Kos became a member of the High Performance, Senior Squad, Team Canada in 2016. Kos attends the University of Regina, Faculty of Education and Faculty of Arts History.

Bowls career

World Championships

In 2020, Kos was selected for the blue ribbon event of the sport, the 2020 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Australia but the event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [5]

In 2023, she was selected again, as part of the team to represent Canada at the 2023 World Outdoor Bowls Championship. [6] She participated in the women's pairs and the women's fours events. [7] [untitled] [8] [untitled] In the fours, Kos qualified in second place in her group before being eliminated in the quarter final, after losing to Scotland. [9]

In 2023, Kos represented Canada at the World Bowls Champion of Champions. Kos placed 2nd in her pool and 4th overall. Kos advanced to the semi-finals and was eliminated by USA. [10]

Commonwealth Games

Kos was selected to represent Canada at the 2022 Commonwealth Games held in Birmingham, England. She competed in the women's singles and the women's pairs (as skip). [11] This was Kos' debut appearance at the Commonwealth Games. [12]

Asia Pacific

Kos won a bronze medal in the triples with Jacqueline Foster and Leanne Chinery at the 2019 Asia Pacific Bowls Championships, held in the Gold Coast, Queensland. [13] [14]

Atlantic Challenge

Kos was selected to represent Canada at the inaugural Atlantic Challenge (formerly the Four Nations Series). August 25–30, 2024 in Ayr, Scotland at the Bowls Scotland's National Training Centre. Kos played singles with a record of 8 wins, 1 loss. Kos skipped the pairs with Linda Ng. Kos was awarded Player of the tournament by Lawra Cox and Dr. Dan McManus. Bowls Scotland presented this award in recognition of outstanding performance at the 2024 Atlantic International Challenge. [15]

Russell W. "Russ" Howard, CM, ONL is a Canadian curler and Olympic champion, based in Regina, Saskatchewan, but originally from Midland, Ontario. He lived in Moncton, New Brunswick, from 2000 to 2019. Known for his gravelly voice, Howard has been to the Brier 14 times, winning the title twice. He is also a two-time world champion, winning in 1987 and 1993. He has also won three TSN Skins Games in 1991, 1992, and 1993, and participated in two Canadian Mixed Curling Championships in 2000 and 2001. He won gold at the 2006 Winter Olympics. The 2011 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the Canadian women's national curling championship, was held from February 19 to February 27 at the Charlottetown Civic Centre in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. It was the 30th anniversary of Kruger Products sponsoring the tournament and the first time a Bronze Medal Game was added to the playoffs.
