Josephine Joyce Lalam (born 12 November 2000) is a Ugandan javelin thrower.
She finished eighth at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, won the bronze medal at the 2018 African Championships, finished fourth at the 2019 African Games [1] and won the gold medal at the 2019 African U20 Championships. She was also the gold medalist at the 2016 East and Central Africa Junior Athletics Championships. [2]
Her personal best throw is 53.39 metres, achieved at the 2019 African Games in Rabat. [1] This is the Ugandan record.

Annet Negesa is a Ugandan former middle-distance runner who specialised in the 800 metres. She broke Ugandan national records in the 800 m and the 1500 metres as a teenager and was a three-time national champion at the Ugandan Athletics Championships. She represented her country at the 2011 World Championships in Athletics and was the 800 m gold medallist at the 2011 All-Africa Games.
Julius Yego is a Kenyan track and field athlete who competes in the javelin throw. Nicknamed "Mr. YouTube" because he learned how to throw by watching YouTube videos of javelin athletes, Yego is the African record holder for the event with a personal best of 92.72 m.
Syrine Ebondo is a Tunisian track and field athlete who competes in the pole vault. She is one of Africa's top pole vaulters and is a seven-time African champion. Her personal best of 4.21 metres, set in 2006, was the Tunisian record for the event until it was surpassed by Dorra_Mahfoudhi in Rabat 2019.

Uganda competed at the 2019 African Games held from 19 to 31 August 2019 in Rabat, Morocco. Initially 77 athletes were scheduled to represent Uganda. This later rose to 78 athletes. Athletes representing Uganda won two silver medals and eight bronze medals and the country finished in 28th place in the medal table.
