Tambat Jugah Anak Muyang [1] (born 3 April 1964) is a Malaysian politician who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Lubok Antu from May 2018 to November 2022. He is a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU),a component party of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition and was formerly a member of both the People's Justice Party (PKR),a component party of then Pakatan Harapan (PH) opposition coalition and the Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS),a component party of the ruling Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) coalition which in turn it was a former component of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition as well as an independent in support for the ruling PN and BN coalitions. He is also the younger brother of his predecessor and former Lubok Antu MP,Andrew Janggi Muyang (born 1947),who served from 1982 until his death in 1987 at the age of 40 whilst serving in office.
Muyang was born on 3 April 1964. He is from Rumah Machau,Nanga Kumpang Engkilili,Lubok Antu,Sri Aman Division,Sarawak. He is the younger brother of Andrew Janggi Muyang,who was also his predecessor and the Lubok Antu MP for one term from 1982 until his death in 1987.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management. [2]
Before contesting an independent candidate and winning the Lubok Antu federal seat in the 2018 general election,he was a PRS member. After becoming Lubok Antu MP,he joined PKR,a component party of the PH coalition which was in federal government before being ousted at the start of the 2020–2022 Malaysian political crisis in February 2020. [3] On 5 June 2020,he left PKR and became a government-aligned independent politician,in which he pledged his support to Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and his PN coalition as well as the BN coalition acting as a confidence and supply partner. [4] Although many former PKR MPs like him had joined BERSATU and PN,he did not follow suit and remained as an independent from 2020 to 2022,he applied to rejoin PRS but received a negative response from the party. He later joined BERSATU directly as a member in order to defend the Lubok Antu seat in the 2022 general election representing the coalition. [5]

The People's Justice Party;often known simply as KEADILAN or PKR,is a reformist political party in Malaysia formed on 3 August 2003 through a merger of the party's predecessor,the National Justice Party,with the socialist Malaysian People's Party. The party's predecessor was founded by Wan Azizah Wan Ismail during the height of the Reformasi movement on 4 April 1999 after the arrest of her husband,former Deputy Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. The party is one of main partners of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition.
Dato' Sri Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusof is a Malaysian politician and lawyer who has served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia since 2022,Minister of Energy Transition and Public Utilies since 2023 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Petra Jaya since March 2004. William Nyallau Badak is a Malaysian politician who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Lubok Antu from March 2008 to May 2018. He is an independent in support for the ruling Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) coalition and was a member of the opposition Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) and of the Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS),a component party of the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. He was elected to Parliament in the 2008 election,replacing long-serving incumbent Jawah Gerang. Before entering Parliament,he was a Native Court judge. He joined PSB in 2019 after he was sacked from PRS on 22 April 2018 and dropped as a candidate in the 2018 general election. In 2021 Sarawak state election,he contested for the Batang Ai state seat as a PSB candidate but lost. On 8 November 2022,he left PSB and pledged his support for GPS.
Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi is a Malaysian politician. He is Secretary-General of both Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) and its coalition Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS). He has served as Minister of Works in the Unity Government administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim since December 2022. He served as the Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs for the second term in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob from August 2021 to the collapse of the BN administration in November 2022 and his first term in Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin from March 2020 to the collapse of the PN administration in August 2021 as well as the Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Najib Razak and former Ministers Shafie Apdal and Ismail Sabri Yaakob from May 2013 to the collapse of the BN administration in May 2018. He has also served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Kapit since November 1999.He is also the cousin of Wilson Ugak Kumbong,the Deputy Minister of Digital and MP for Hulu Rajang.

The Malaysian United Indigenous Party,abbreviated BERSATU or PPBM,is a nationalist political party in Malaysia. The party was preceded by the United Indigenous Association of Malaysia. It is a major component party within the Perikatan Nasional coalition. BERSATU was approved and registered on 14 January 2017 by the Registrar of Societies (ROS) and the use of the BERSATU logo was authorized by the Malaysian Election Commission (SPR). The party held the Prime Ministerial position as well as the majority of positions in the cabinet from May 2020 to August 2021. The party's founding members came from the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) and Barisan Nasional rebel group Gabungan Ketua Cawangan Malaysia in 2016.

General elections were held in Malaysia on Saturday,19 November 2022. The prospect of snap elections had been considered high due to the political crisis that had been ongoing since 2020;political instability caused by coalition or party switching among members of Parliament,combined with the fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic,contributed to the resignation of two prime ministers and the collapse of each of their respective coalition governments since the 2018 general elections.
Datuk Larry Sng Wei Shien,is a Taiwanese-born Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Julau since May 2018. He served as Member of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Pelagus from September 2001 to April 2011. He was previously the State Chairman of the People's Justice Party (PKR) of Sarawak,a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. On 28 February 2021,he left PKR to become an independent again and declared support for the ruling Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition. He is currently the President of Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) and has served in this role since January 2022. Following the 2022 general election,he is presently the sole PBM MP and his party is aligned to the Unity Government.

He served as the Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources for the second term in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob and former Minister Takiyuddin Hassan from August 2021 to the collapse of the BN administration in November 2022 and the first term in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and former Minister Shamsul Anuar Nasarah from March 2020 to the collapse of the PN administration in August 2021,Member of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Krian from April 2011 to December 2021. He is a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU),a component party of the PN coalition and was a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR),a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. He also served as the Vice President of PKR from December 2018 to his resignation from the party in February 2020. He took part in the Sheraton Move,a successful attempt to overthrow PH administration and serves as a member of the Federal-State Relations Select Committee. He is the sole Sarawak PN MP and one of the only two Christian MPs of PN alongside Ronald Kiandee.
The 2020–2022 Malaysian political crisis was triggered after several Members of Parliament (MPs) of the 14th Malaysian Parliament changed party support,leading to the loss of a parliamentary majority,the collapse of two successive coalition governments,and the resignation of two Prime Ministers. The political crisis culminated in a 2022 snap general election and eventual formation of a coalition government.
The Muhyiddin cabinet was formed on 10 March 2020,nine days after Muhyiddin Yassin was appointed as the 8th Prime Minister of Malaysia and dissolved 17 months and 6 days later on 16 August 2021,the day when Muhyiddin submitted his resignations as PM and of this cabinet. It was the 21st cabinet of Malaysia formed since independence. This cabinet was also known as the Perikatan Nasional Cabinet (PN-Cabinet) which combined 15 political parties from the Perikatan Nasional (PN) component parties,with Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties,Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) component parties and United Sabah Party (PBS) as allied partners providing confidence and supply.
The National Alliance is a political coalition composed of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party,Malaysian Islamic Party,Malaysian People's Movement Party and Sabah Progressive Party. This coalition was preceded by the Malaysian Party Alliance Association,also known as the Persatuan Perikatan Parti Malaysia (PPPM). It is the second largest political coalition in Dewan Rakyat with 74 seats after Pakatan Harapan (PH) with 81 seats;dubbed as the "Green Wave".

Wilson Ugak Kumbong is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Deputy Minister of Digital in the Unity Government administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Minister Gobind Singh Deo since December 2023,Chairman of the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) since April 2020 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Hulu Rajang since May 2013. He served as the Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of Sabah and Sarawak Affairs and Special Duties in the PH administration under Prime Minister Anwar and Minister Armizan Mohd Ali from December 2022 to December 2023. He is a member and Vice President of the Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS),a component party of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) coalition and formerly Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. He is also cousin of Alexander Nanta Linggi,the Minister of Works and MP for Kapit.
Malaysian United Indigenous Party of Sabah,also abbreviated as Sabah BERSATU or sometimes written as Sabah PPBM,is a branch of a political party in Sabah,Malaysia. Before the mass resignations of the members of the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and the entire leadership of Sabah BERSATU from the party in December 2022,Sabah BERSATU was split from the central Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU) in their political affiliations at the federal level. It was the only branch of BERSATU that moved without direction from the central leader. This party was led and directed by Hajiji Noor and was built independently in political affiliations after the approval of the GRS registration. The branch of the party,together with other component parties of the GRS coalition,partnered with Barisan Nasional (BN) in the 2022 general election,contrary to the rest of BERSATU,which contested under the Perikatan Nasional (PN),opposing BN.
The 2023 Sabah political crisis or widely reported on local media as Langkah Kinabalu or the Kinabalu Move,began on 6 January 2023,when the state government of Sabah led by Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) collapsed when its coalition party Barisan Nasional (BN) withdrew its support. The Leader of UMNO Sabah,a component party of BN,Bung Moktar Radin,Kinabatangan Member of Parliament (MP) and Lamag Assemblyman,cited a lack of confidence in the leadership of Chief Minister of Sabah Hajiji Noor in the withdrawal. UMNO Sabah want to change support from supporting GRS coalition to supporting the WARISAN Plus coalition. On 9 January,both Malaysian leaders,prime minister Anwar Ibrahim and deputy prime minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi travelled to Kota Kinabalu to meet with Sabah political leaders. This crisis resulted in the approval of the Anti-Switching Parties Law in Sabah (approved in 25 May 2023).
