"Juliet" is the second single from Modern Talking's eleventh album, Victory . Unlike other Modern Talking tracks released previously, the song has a disco flavour to it and refers to Alicia Bridges's 1978 song "I Love the Nightlife".

Modern Talking was a German pop duo consisting of arranger, songwriter and producer Dieter Bohlen and singer Thomas Anders. They have been referred to as Germany's most successful pop duo, and have had a number of hit singles, reaching the top five in many countries. Their most popular singles are "You're My Heart, You're My Soul", "You Can Win If You Want", "Cheri, Cheri Lady", "Brother Louie", "Atlantis Is Calling " and "Geronimo's Cadillac".
Bernd Weidung, known by his stage name Thomas Anders, is a German singer, songwriter and record producer. He is best known as the only vocalist of the pop duo Modern Talking.
"When Doves Cry" is a song by American musician Prince, and the lead single from his sixth studio album Purple Rain. According to the DVD commentary of the film Purple Rain (1984), Prince was asked by director Albert Magnoli to write a song to match the theme of a particular segment of the film that involved intermingled parental difficulties and a love affair. The next morning, Prince had composed two songs, one of which was "When Doves Cry". According to Prince's biographer Per Nilsen, the song was inspired by his relationship with Vanity 6 member Susan Moonsie.

"Atlantis Is Calling " is a song by German pop duo Modern Talking, released as the second single from their third studio album, Ready for Romance (1986). It is the duo's fifth and final consecutive single to reach No. 1 on the German Singles Chart. "Atlantis is Calling " was released in Germany and in other European territories on 28 April 1986, it peaked at No. 1 in Germany on 16 June 1986 after spending two weeks at No. 2 position. The single spent four weeks at the top and total of 14 weeks on the top 100. While "Atlantis Is Calling " entered the top five in Switzerland, Austria and Sweden, it managed to chart within the top 10 in the Netherlands and Norway.
"Geronimo's Cadillac" is a song by German pop duo Modern Talking from their fourth studio album, In the Middle of Nowhere (1986). It was released as the album's lead single on 6 October 1986 in Germany and other European territories. It was their first single not to reach the top of the German Single Chart, peaking at number three on 3 November 1986, almost a month after its release. It spent five weeks within the top 10 and a total of 13 weeks on the top 100 in Germany. "Geronimo's Cadillac" also entered the top five in Austria and the top 10 in Switzerland, Sweden and Norway.
Victory is the eleventh studio album by German duo Modern Talking, released on 18 March 2002 by Hansa Records. Two singles were released from the album, "Ready for the Victory" and "Juliet", which charted at numbers seven and 25 in Germany, respectively. Victory debuted at number one on the German Albums Chart on 1 April 2002, spending four weeks within the top 10 and 15 weeks altogether on chart. The album has been certified gold by the Bundesverband Musikindustrie (BVMI), denoting shipments in excess of 150,000 units in Germany.
