Junius is a self-titled compilation album by American art rock band Junius that compiles the Blood Is Bright EP and the Forcing Out the Silence EP into one collection. The album features remastered tracks from both EPs, while the CD and Vinyl formats include additional content such as expanded artwork, and lyrics. [1]

Release history

The compilation was initially released in North America on October 9, 2007 by Radar Recordings, and SAF Records. [3]

To promote the release further, the band made their self-titled album available through European based record label Make My Day Records on February 8, 2008. The Make My Day Records release includes an alternate version of the front cover artwork and an exclusive bonus track titled "Lost in Basilica", a song that was recorded by the band during The Blood is Bright sessions. [4]

Two years later, Junius was re-released in limited edition vinyl and digital download format via The Mylene Sheath on June 15, 2010 featuring new artwork. [5] The vinyl release has since gone out-of-print. [6]

Bolt Thrower were an English death metal band from Coventry. They formed in 1986 and released their first album with Vinyl Solution in 1988. Y is the debut studio album of English post-punk band The Pop Group. The album was produced by dub musician Dennis "Blackbeard" Bovell at Ridge Farm Studios in Surrey, and was released on 20 April 1979 through Radar Records. It was reissued in 1996 by Radar, 2007 by Rhino/Radar, and in 2019 by Mute Records, including deluxe LP/12" and CD editions with bonus outtakes and live albums, to mark its 40th anniversary.

Circle of Dead Children is a deathgrind group which formed on October 24, 1998, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After the release of a self-titled demo that was put out the same year they formed, Circle of Dead Children signed on with Willowtip Records to release their debut full-length album, Starving the Vultures, which comprised the demo tracks as well as several new ones.

Rosetta is an American post-metal band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania incorporating elements of post-hardcore, shoegazing, drone, post-rock, avant-garde and ambient, with influences as diverse as Neurosis and Isis, My Bloody Valentine, Frodus, and Stars of the Lid. The band somewhat humorously self-describes its music as "metal for astronauts", and its members are very interested in astronomy and space travel.

Sad Day We Left The Croft is a compilation album of punk bands from the Scottish Hebridean Isle of Lewis, recorded in 1980 and released in 1981, as a 12-inch vinyl LP on an independent record label, Adult Entertainments, based in Stornoway; and also in a cassette version by Croft Recordings. A related 7 inch vinyl single on Adult Entertainments was also released in 1981. The single was played by John Peel on his influential BBC Radio 1 music show shortly after its release. Pressed in limited quantities, both the single and the album became cult items and copies have been much sought after by collectors.

Junius is an American rock band from Boston, Massachusetts that formed in 2003. The band is composed of lead vocalist and guitarist Joseph E. Martinez, and drummer Dana Filloon. Thus far, they have released four EPs and three full-length albums. The band name is taken after Junius, the pseudonym of a political writer who lived during the late 18th century.

Beneath Oblivion is an American four-piece Cincinnati, Ohio-based doom metal band. Since forming in 2003 they have released a demo in 2004, a full-length album in 2006, a 10" split in 2007, a self-titled 10" EP in 2009, a 7" split and a 2xLP in 2011. They are said to have the loud and heavy elements of sludge American underground, with DIY/punk ideas, ethics and touring style; Open minded to many different forms of music, sound and experimentation, but with more European funeral doom and death metal influences than anything.

Gifts From Enola was a four-piece instrumental post-rock band from Harrisonburg, Virginia. Their music is characterized with a strong riff-orientated guitar sound along with the soft-loud approach prevalent in some post-rock. They have released three full-length albums and a split album. In July 2010, the band released their self-titled third full-length album. The name supposedly references the Enola Gay, the first aircraft to drop a nuclear bomb.

Junius / Rosetta is a split EP by American art rock band Junius and American post metal band Rosetta. After several years of planning, the title was made available on September 27, 2011 through Translation Loss in CD format and on November 22, 2011 through The Mylene Sheath in vinyl format. However, the vinyl release was limited, and only 1,000 copies have been pressed for distribution. Junius / Rosetta includes two original tracks by both bands and a download card to obtain additional content online, including two cover songs originally by Soundgarden and Hum.

Heiress is an American band from Seattle, Washington, formed in 2006. Their style blends influences from hardcore punk, heavy metal and post-rock. They signed to Deathwish Inc. in 2010, and released their debut album Early Frost in 2013.

<i>Pasiflora</i> 2012 studio album by Constants

Pasiflora is the fourth full-length studio album by American rock band Constants. The album was released on July 24, 2012 through The Mylene Sheath in CD and digital download formats. A limited edition vinyl pressing of the album will be made available on August 21, 2012 through The Mylene Sheath as well. The album was recorded at Radar Studios using solar energy.
