K'ayrani (Aymara k'ayra frog, [2] -ni a suffix to indicate ownership, "the one with a frog (or frogs)", also spelled Jairani) is a mountain north of the Apolobamba mountain range in the Andes of Peru, about 4,600-metre (15,092 ft) high. It is located in the Puno Region, Sandia Province, Quiaca District. Near K'ayrani there are various little lakes. The largest of them is Ch'uxñaquta ("green lake", Choccñacota, Chojñecota) in the southwest. [1]

Aymara language native language in South America

Aymara is an Aymaran language spoken by the Aymara people of the Andes. It is one of only a handful of Native American languages with over one million speakers. Aymara, along with Spanish, is one of the official languages of Bolivia and parts of Peru. It is also spoken, to a much lesser extent, by some communities in northern Chile, where it is a recognized minority language.

In linguistics, a suffix is an affix which is placed after the stem of a word. Common examples are case ending, which indicate the grammatical cased of nouns or adjectives, and verb endings, which form the conjugation of verbs.

Janq'u Uma is a mountain in the north of the Apolobamba mountain range in the Andes of Peru, about 4,900 metres (16,076 ft) high. It is located in the Puno Region, Sandia Province, Cuyocuyo District. Janq'u Uma lies northwest of the mountain Wilaquta, northeast of Qurwari and southwest of Utkhuqaqa. Two little streams named Janq'u Uma (Janjouma) and Qullqipirwa (Jolljepirhua) originate west and east of the mountain. They flow to the river Lawa Lawani which runs to the north. It belongs to the watershed of the Inambari River.

Qachini lies southwest of the mountain named Wilaquta, northeast of Qala K'umu and southeast of Qurwari.

Saytajota is a lake in the Andes of Peru. It is located in the Puno Region, Carabaya Province, Macusani District, at a place named Saytoccota. Saytajota is situated northwest of the lake Tocsajota and the mountain Vilajota and east of the lake Parinajota and another lake named Saytajota which lies next to Parinajota, north of it.
