KIIT International School is a fully residential, co-educational, private school located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. It is a constituent of the KIIT Group of Institutions. It offers kindergarten, primary and secondary education in CBSE and IGCSE curricula. [1] [2]

Achievements

Education World, a magazine on schooling and education, has ranked KiiT International School, 20th amongst 1500 best boarding schools in India.[ citation needed ] Principal Sanjay Suar and Head International Curriculum Emma Pacilli were invited to Delhi to receive an award for the same. KiiT International School was ranked as the best residential school of Odisha, and is among the top twenty residential schools of India (Education World, 2012).[ citation needed ] The school has joined the elite bracket of A+++ schools of India (The Pioneer). There are only 19 schools in the league.[ citation needed ]

The school has Padmashree Ruskin Bond as its brand ambassador.[ citation needed ]

The Indian metropolis of Bhubaneswar has approximately 1,600 kilometres (990 mi) of roads, with average road density of 11.82 square kilometres (4.56 sq mi). Baramunda Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT) is the major bus terminus in the city from where buses ply to all the districts in Odisha as well as to neighbouring state's cities like Hyderabad, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, Raipur and Ranchi. City bus service runs in public-private partnership between Bhubaneswar-Puri Transport Service Limited (BPTSL) and Dream Team Sahara (DTS) under JNNURM scheme. A fleet of 185 buses cover all major destinations including Cuttack, Puri and Khordha. Auto rickshaws are available for hire and on a share basis throughout the city. In parts of the city, cycle rickshaws offer short trips. To ease traffic jams, over-bridges at major road junctions and expansion of roads are under construction. XIM University is a Jesuit, Catholic university located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. It was authorized by the Odisha Legislative Assembly in 2013 making it the first Jesuit university in India. Drawing its legacy from Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar(XIMB), founded by the Jesuits in 1987, the university was facilitated by the Govt of Odisha in 2013 and went on to be called as XIM University with XIMB now being a constituent school offering only MBA-BM through XIM University. The other XIMB courses like HRM and RM are now continued by separate schools under XIM University. The sprawling XIM University campus is situated at Sundarpada jatani road near Jatani town in the outskirts of Bhubaneswar. The Jesuits have more than 50 colleges and several hundred educational institutes in India but this is the first university they have founded in the country.

Khelo India University Game is a national level multi-sport event held in India, where athletes from universities across the country compete in different sports disciplines. The inaugural edition held in Odisha started on 22 February and concluded on 1 March 2020. It is organised by Sports Authority of India (SAI) and Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports along with Association of Indian Universities, Indian Olympic Association and National Sports Federation. It is the largest university level sports competition in India.
