History
1240 kHz in Globe was home to two previous licenses. The first, KWJB/KZOW, operated from 1938 to 1960, when the impending revocation of the licenses of all stations owned by Gila Broadcasting forced the chain to shut down. The second, KWJB/KPPR, operated between 1969 and approximately 1978.
In 1978, James Mace, who had owned the second KWJB before selling it in 1975, made an application to rebuild 1240 on a new license after KPPR's demise. The application was granted in 1980, and Mace selected the KGJM call sign.
The station later had the call letters KSML and KYOR. In 1989, Rollye James and Jon Cornell acquired the station, switching the call sign to KJAA. It changed to an oldies format and later began simulcasting on FM translator K291CU at 106.1 MHz.
KVNI is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, serving the Spokane metropolitan area of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. It is owned by Morgan Murphy Media, with the license held by QueenB Radio, Inc. Morgan Murphy owns seven radio stations and a TV station in the Spokane area.
WOON is Woonsocket, Rhode Island's oldest radio station, having taken to the air on November 11, 1946, as WWON, a callsign it kept until the current WOON became available in 1992. The change in call became effective on February 3, 1992. On June 26, 1949, WWON added a sister station with WWON-FM on 105.5 MHz, later moving to 106.3 MHz. That station is now WWKX.

KWJB was the call sign for several radio stations in Globe, Arizona. Two separate licenses on 1240 kHz, and an FM station on 100.3 MHz, used the call letters. The first KWJB signed on in 1938, being joined by the FM station in 1958. After going silent October 29, 1960, the licenses of both stations were ordered revoked by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in 1961 along with all other stations owned by Gila Broadcasting. A second AM station in Globe on the same frequency, but a different license, operated as KWJB between 1969 and 1975.
