Bulungan Regency is a regency of North Kalimantan Province in Indonesia. It covers an area of 13,181.92 km2 and had a population of 112,663 at the 2010 Census and 151,844 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 165,775. The administrative centre is at Tanjung Selor.
Sumenep, officially the Sumenep Regency, and formerly rendered Samanap or Zamanap in English, is a regency of the East Java province, Indonesia. Tapin Regency is one of regencies in the Indonesian province of South Kalimantan. The regency was created on 14 July 1965 by splitting off the districts which had until then comprised the southern part of South Hulu Sungai Regency. The regency's motto is "Ruhui Rahayu", and this is also shared by another Indonesian province. It covers an area of 2,174.95 km2 and had a population of 167,877 at the 2010 Census and 189,475 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 197,893. The administrative centre of the regency is at the town of Rantau.

It has a land area of 27,263.10 km2 and a water area of 4,097 km2, geographically located between 1°18′40″S and 116°31′36″E. The population of the regency was 626,286 at the 2010 Census and 729,382 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as of mid-2023 was 788,113. The town of Tenggarong is the capital of the regency.
West Kutai Regency is a regency (kabupaten) in the Indonesian province of East Kalimantan. It previously covered a much greater area, with a population of 165,091 at the 2010 Census, but on 11 January 2013 the five northernmost districts were split off to form a new Mahakam Ulu Regency; the residual area of West Kutai Regency is 20,384.6 km2, and it had a population of 140,097 at the 2010 Census, and 165,938 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 177,007. The town of Sendawar is the administrative capital.
East Kutai Regency is a regency of East Kalimantan province, Indonesia. It has an area of 31,239.84 km2 and had a population of 253,904 at the 2010 census and 434,459 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 455,504. The town of Sangatta is the capital of the regency.
Paser Regency is the southernmost regency (kabupaten) within the East Kalimantan province of Indonesia. It was created in 1959, originally spelt "Pasir Regency", but renamed "Paser" in 2007; however its northeastern districts were split off on 10 April 2002 to form the new Penajam North Paser Regency. The residual regency covers an area of 11,603.94 km2, and it had a population of 230,316 at the 2010 Census and 275,452 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid-2023 was 303,424. Its administrative centre is the town of Tana Paser.
Sangkulirang is an administrative district (kecamatan) of East Kutai Regency, in East Kalimantan Province of Indonesia. The district lies in the northern part of the Makassar Strait and at the southern part of the Mangkalihat Peninsula. Sangkulirang includes the delta of the Karangan River, which forms the Sangkulirang Bay on the east coast of Borneo (Kalimantan). Most of the district is vegetated with mangrove forest and has some notable karst areas with steep limestone cliffs. It covers an area of 2,046.8 km2 and had a population of 16,181 at the 2010 Census and 26,449 at the 2020 Census, while the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 24,245. The district's seat is located in the town of Benua Baru on the west side of the Karangan River, at the point where it opens out into Sankulirang Bay.
East Barito Regency is one of the thirteen regencies which comprise the Central Kalimantan Province on the island of Kalimantan (Borneo), Indonesia. It was formed on 10 April 2002 from districts which were formerly part of South Barito Regency. The town of Tamiang Layang is the capital of East Barito Regency, which covers an area of 3,834 km2. The population of the Regency was 97,372 at the 2010 Census and 113,229 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 117,312.
Katingan Regency is one of the thirteen regencies which comprise the Central Kalimantan Province on the island of Kalimantan (Borneo), Indonesia. It was created on 10 April 2002 from what were previously the eastern districts of East Kotawaringin Regency. The town of Kasongan is the capital of the Regency, which covers an area of 20,382.26 km2. The population of Katingan Regency was 146,439 at the 2010 Census and 162,222 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 177,106.
West Kotawaringin Regency is one of the thirteen regencies which comprise the Central Kalimantan Province on the island of Kalimantan (Borneo), Indonesia. It originally comprised the whole western part of the province, having been split from a single Kotawaringin Regency on 26 June 1959 into separate regencies for West and East Kotawaringin, but on 10 April 2002 the most westerly districts of West Kotawaringin were split off to form the new Lamandau Regency and Sukamara Regency. The residual West Kotawaringin Regency has a land area of about 10,816.56 km2, and its population was 235,803 at the 2010 Census and 270,388 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 280,812. The large town of Pangkalan Bun in Arut Selatan District is the capital of West Kotawaringin Regency.
East Kotawaringin Regency is one of the thirteen regencies which comprise the Central Kalimantan Province on the island of Kalimantan (Borneo), Indonesia. It originally covered a much larger part of the province, having been split from a single Kotawaringin Regency on 26 June 1959 into separate regencies for East and West Kotawaringin, but on 10 April 2002 several districts in the west of the regency were split off to form the new Seruyan Regency, and several districts in the east of the regency were similarly split off to form the new Katingan Regency. The area of the residual East Kotawaringin Regency is 16,796 km2, and its population was 374,175 at the 2010 Census, and 428,900 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 443,359. The town of Sampit is the capital of East Kotawaringin Regency.
Sukamara Regency is one of the thirteen regencies which comprise the Central Kalimantan Province on the island of Kalimantan (Borneo), Indonesia. It was created on 10 April 2002 from the former southwest part of West Kotawaringin Regency. The town of Padang contains the administrative centre of Sukamara Regency, and had a population of 6,555 in mid 2023. The Regency covers an area of 3,827 km2, and had a population of 44,952 at the 2010 Census and 63,464 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 63,039.
Seruyan Regency is one of the thirteen regencies which comprise the Central Kalimantan Province on the island of Kalimantan (Borneo), Indonesia. It was created on 10 April 2002 from what were previously the western districts of East Kotawaringin Regency. The town of Kuala Pembuang in Seruyan Hilir District is the capital of Seruyan Regency. The population of the Regency was 139,931 at the 2010 Census and 162,906 at the 2020 census; the official estimate was at mid 2023 was 154,377.
Mahakam Ulu Regency is a regency (kabupaten) in the province of East Kalimantan, Indonesia. As the name implies, it comprises the upper valley of the Mahakam River. It covers an area of 18,427.81 km2. The regency was established on 14 December 2012, formed from the former northern districts of West Kutai Regency. The districts now forming the regency held a combined population of 24,994 at the 2010 Census; the population for the new regency at the 2020 Census was 32,513; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 38,498. The administrative capital is at Ujoh Bilang, which had 3,527 inhabitants as at mid 2022. It is the only regency in East Kalimantan to share an international land border with the Malaysian state of Sarawak.
Kaubun is an administrative district (kecamatan) of East Kutai Regency, in East Kalimantan Province of Indonesia. The district lies at the western end of the Mangkalihat Peninsula and includes the western bank of the Karangan River, which empties into Sangkulirang Bay on the east coast of Borneo (Kalimantan). It covers an area of 764.97 km2 and had a population of 9,622 at the 2010 Census and 14,867 at the 2020 Census, while the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 16,570. The district's seat is located in the town of Bumi Etam.
