Mari Kim Holden is an American Olympic medalist and World Champion in the sport of cycling. She won a silver medal in the 2000 Olympic Games time trial in Sydney, Australia and the world time trial championship later that year. She also won six U.S. championships, becoming the first American woman to win three consecutive U.S. time trial championships (1998–2000) and scoring a double by winning the U.S. time trial and road championships in 1999. In 2016 she was inducted into the U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame as a Modern Road and Track Competitor and presently works as a community director at USA Cycling.

Anna Millward, née Wilson, is an Australian cycle racer. During her cycling career, she won the overall UCI points title in 2001, and twice was UCI overall World Cup points champion, winning a total of 5 World Cup races in her career. She also won two silver medals in the UCI Road World Championship competition in 1999 and twice won the Women's Challenge race.
Elizabeth Lee "Beth" Heiden Reid is an American athlete who excelled in speed skating, cross-country skiing, and bicycle racing. She was born in Madison, Wisconsin. She was a speedskating bronze medalist at the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympics, where her brother Eric won five speedskating gold medals.
Connie Carpenter-Phinney is an American retired racing cyclist and speed skater who won four medals in World Cycling Championship competitions in the late 1970s and early 1980s. She also won the gold medal in the cycling road race at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, as well as twelve U.S. national championships. She remains the youngest American woman to compete at the Winter Olympics.

Kristin Armstrong Savola is a former professional road bicycle racer and three-time Olympic gold medalist, the winner of the women's individual time trial in 2008, 2012, and 2016. Martin Wayne Nothstein is an American former professional road bicycle racer and track cyclist. He is a three-time world champion in track events and an Olympic gold and silver medalist. Nothstein also servied as a Lehigh County Commissioner and ran unsuccessfully as the Republican Party nominee for the 2018 United States House of Representatives election in Pennsylvania's 7th congressional district and 2018 Pennsylvania's 7th and 15th congressional district special elections.
Robin Morton is an American former cycling team manager and was the first and only female manager in men's professional cycling. She also created the first Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) registered American professional road racing team in 1984. Cycling in Europe is a traditionally male sport and includes rules prohibiting women from the race caravans. At managers' meetings prior to races in Europe, the race organization would vote on whether Morton would be allowed to ride in the team car. Morton was elected to the United States Bicycling Hall of Fame in 2016.

The races took place in Southeast Pennsylvania beginning with The Univest Grand Prix in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States from 1999 to 2011, Thompson Bucks County Classic in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States 2012 to 2014 and Reading 120 in Berks County, Pennsylvania, United States 2015 and 2016.
Audrey McElmury was the first American cyclist to win the Road World Championship. She won in Brno, Czechoslovakia in 1969, having fallen and remounted her bike. Hers was the United States' first world cycling championship since Frank Kramer won the professional sprint race in 1912 and the first ever in road cycling.

Mara Katherine Abbott is a US former professional women's bicycle racer. In 2010, Abbott became the first US cyclist ever to win the Giro d'Italia Femminile, one of the Grand Tours of women's bicycle racing. Abbott retired after the 2016 Olympic Games road race.
Flávia Maria de Oliveira Paparella is a Brazilian racing cyclist. She competed in the 2013 UCI Women's World Championship Road Race in Florence, as well as the 2014 UCI Women's Road World Championships in Ponferrada. She competed at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro where she finished in seventh place, the highest placed finish for a Brazilian rider in any Olympic cycling event.
Derek Bouchard-Hall is a former US professional cyclist, whose career highlights include winning the gold medal in the team pursuit at the 1999 Pan American Games, winning the 2000 United States National Criterium Championships, and competing on the 2000 US Olympic team in Sydney, Australia. In September 2023, he was named CEO of POC.
Emma White is an American former professional racing cyclist, who last rode for UCI Women's Continental Team Rally Cycling.
The University of Florida Cycling Club is a cycling club and student organization of the University of Florida. The club was established in 1985 as an off-shoot of the Gainesville Cycling Club. The organization has won numerous Southeastern Collegiate Cycling Conference and National Collegiate Cycling Association championships.
