Karissa Kellie Cook (born April 8, 1991) is an American professional beach volleyball player and former indoor volleyball player.
Cook was born on April 8, 1991, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She came from an athletic family: her father, David, played basketball at the University of San Diego and professionally for the Newcastle Falcons in Australia, and her mother, Suzy, played volleyball for United States International University. Her brother, Brian Cook, also played professional beach volleyball. [1] Cook played volleyball and was also a track athlete for Harbor High School. She was the number 25 recruit nationally in her graduating class. She participated with team USA's junior national team at the 2009 World Championships. [1]
Cook played indoor volleyball as a setter for Stanford from 2009 to 2012. She was named to the Pac-10 All-Freshman Team in 2009 and an All-Pac-12 honorable mention selection as a junior in 2011. She finished her career with 142 kills, 3,027 assists and 53 service aces. [1] She briefly returned to Stanford in 2015 as an assistant coach for the beach volleyball team.
Cook played beach volleyball for Hawaiʻi's beach volleyball team in 2014. She graduated from Hawaiʻi with a master's degree in civil engineering. [2] During the season, she was named an All-American. She posted a team-best 42–7 record and finished as the runner-up at the AVCA Pairs National Championship. [3]
Cook made her AVP debut in Manhattan Beach with Michelle Iafigliola in 2015, they placed 25th at the tournament. In 2018, partnered with Katie Spieler, she started off the AVP season with a third place finish. In October 2018, with Spieler, they won the gold medal at the NORCECA beach tour championships in Pointe Du-Martin in Martinique, defeating Canadians Sophie Bukovec and Alexandra Poletto 21–18, 20–22, 15–12. In 2019, Cook partnered with Jace Pardon, she won her first AVP title Austin, Texas. Cook and Pardon teamed together again to represent the U.S. in the 2019 Pan American Games in Peru, winning the gold medal against two-time Olympian Ana Gallay and Fernanda Pereyra of Argentina. It was the first time that the United States won a gold medal at the Pan American Games in beach volleyball. [5]
In October 2019, Cook won a gold medal with her teammates at the 2019 World Beach Games that were held in Doha, Qatar in the 4x4 beach volleyball event. She had five kills and five blocks in the championship match versus Brazil. [6]
Kerri Lee Walsh Jennings is an American professional beach volleyball player, three-time Olympic gold medalist, and a one-time Olympic bronze medalist. She is the beach volleyball leader in career victories as of 2016 having won 135 international and domestic tournaments.
Logan Maile Lei Tom is an American former indoor volleyball and beach volleyball player, and is the current head coach of the Israel women's national volleyball team. She is a four-time Olympian at the outside hitter position. At age 19, Logan became the youngest woman ever to be selected for an American Olympic volleyball team when she competed at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. She is a skilled all-around player who brings stability to the American serve receive and defense, while also providing the team with a solid attack and block at the net. She had been a huge part of the national team from 2000 to 2012. At the 2008 Olympics, Tom helped Team USA win a silver medal and was named Best Scorer, she won another silver medal at the 2012 Olympics with the national team. She was also awarded the Most Valuable Player of the 2004 FIVB World Grand Prix.
Foluke Atinuke Gunderson is an indoor volleyball player who plays as a middle blocker for Japanese club Hisamitsu Springs. Born in Canada, she represents the United States internationally. Gunderson won gold with the national team at the 2010 FIVB World Grand Prix, 2014 World Championship, the Rimini Volleyball Nations League, and the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics, silver at the 2012 London Summer Olympics, and bronze at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Her 2020 Olympics win allowed her to complete the trifecta of winning an Olympic bronze, silver, and gold medal.
William Reid Priddy, known as Reid Priddy, is an American volleyball player on the United States men's national volleyball team and Italian club Cucine Lube Civitanova. He has also played on the AVP tour from 2000 to 2006.
Elisabeth Anne "Wiz" Bachman is a retired volleyball player from the United States, who represented her native country at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. There she finished in fifth place with the USA National Team.
Cynthia Jane Barboza is an American retired volleyball player. She is an outside hitter who played at Stanford University for four years.
Robyn Mokihana Ah Mow is the head coach of the Hawaii Rainbow Wahine volleyball team and a former American indoor volleyball player. She was a setter on the USA national team and played at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, the 2004 Athens Olympics, and at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, helping Team USA to a silver medal. She worked as an assistant coach at the University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine volleyball team from 2011-2015 and was named Head Coach in 2017 after Dave Shoji's retirement. She has also served as a club coach at Na Keiki Mau Loa Volleyball Club.
Niverka Dharlenis Marte Frica is a volleyball player from the Dominican Republic who currently plays for Indonesian side Jakarta Popsivo Polwan. She played the 2012 Summer Olympics with the Dominican Republic national team ranking in fifth place. She also played the 2010 and the 2014 World Championship earning the 17th place and the fifth place and the 2011 and the 2015 FIVB World Cup with her national team ranking in the eight and seventh place. She won the bronze medal in the 2015 Pan American Games.
April Elizabeth Ross is an American beach volleyball player and three-time Olympic medalist. She won a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics with Jennifer Kessy, a bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics with Kerri Walsh Jennings, and a gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics with Alix Klineman. Ross and Kessy were also the 2009 Beach Volleyball World Champions.

Gina Altagracia Mambrú Casilla is a volleyball player from the Dominican Republic, who played the 2012 Olympic Games and the 2014 World Championship ranking fifth in both competitions. She won the 2005 national championship while playing for the University of Washington, and she set an NCAA record in career assists per game. Thompson won gold with the national team at the 2014 World Championship, silver at the 2012 London Summer Olympics, and bronze at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
Tammy Leibl is a retired American female indoor volleyball and beach volleyball player. She played college volleyball at Arizona State University and won the bronze medal with the U.S. national team at the 1992 Summer Olympics.
