About You Now is the debut extended play by American actress and singer Miranda Cosgrove, released by Columbia Records and Nickelodeon Records to iTunes on February 3, 2009. The EP was used to promote Cosgrove's song of the same name, released in the final quarter of 2008. Aside from featuring remixes of previous songs of Cosgrove's, the album also featured two tracks, "FYI" and "Party Girl". "About You Now" is a cover of the Sugababes hit single. It became Cosgrove's second song to chart on Billboard Hot 100 chart, peaking at number 47, her highest peak to date.
Exposed is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter Kristinia DeBarge, released on July 28, 2009 by Island Records and Sodapop Records. Its music incorporates pop and R&B styles. The album debuted at number 23 on the US Billboard 200 with 16,539 copies sold the first week. DeBarge began recording the album in 2008, and had been writing the album since 2006. The album features production and writing from the likes of Babyface and OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder amongst others.

Nervous System is the third extended play and major-label debut by American singer and songwriter Julia Michaels, released by Republic Records on July 28, 2017. Black Dresses were a Canadian noise pop duo consisting of Ada Rook and Devi McCallion. Their debut album, Wasteisolation, was released independently in 2018. The duo released three additional albums, Thank You (2019), Love and Affection for Stupid Little Bitches (2019), and Peaceful as Hell (2020), before breaking up in 2020. Tate Rosner McRae is a Canadian singer and dancer. At the age of thirteen, she gained prominence as the first Canadian finalist on the American reality TV show So You Think You Can Dance. McRae caught the attention of RCA Records in 2019 after her original song "One Day" (2017) went viral on YouTube, subsequently releasing her debut EP, All the Things I Never Said (2020). McRae soon gained wider recognition after her song "You Broke Me First" became an international hit. In 2021, McRae was the youngest musician featured on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list. Her second EP, Too Young to Be Sad (2021) was the most streamed female EP of 2021 on Spotify. Her debut studio album, I Used to Think I Could Fly, was released on May 27, 2022. The album was met with positive reviews from critics and reached the top 10 in various countries, and also entered the Top 10 of iTunes Brazil while entering at number thirteen on the US Billboard 200.
