Kattowal, situated on the left bank of the Jhelum River, is a small village in the Malakwal subdivision of Mandi Bahauddin District, Pakistan. [1]

The village has a population of approximately 1,500, all of whom are Muslims.

Sports are an important part of daily life in Kattowal. Volleyball is the most popular game, followed by kabaddi and cricket. The village is divided into three parts: East Kattowal, West Kattowal, and Kattowal Adda.

A significant number of residents live abroad and contribute to the local economy. The village also has a relatively high literacy rate, reflecting a focus on education and development.
