Kaushal Samaraweera Lokuarachchi (born 20 May 1982),or Kaushal Lokuarachchi,is a former Sri Lankan cricketer,who played all formats. He is a right-handed batsman and a leg-break bowler. In 2014,he was banned by BPL anti-corruption tribunal for 18 months and has not been involved in cricket since then. [1]
Having made an exceptional start to his career as an allrounder when he was a schoolboy,Lokuarachchi was made part of the Sri Lankan squad after the 2003 Cricket World Cup. He is primarily a leg-spinner,and it was thought that he would be able to capture a regular place in the team. However,having suffered from a car crash in August 2003 which killed a woman ,he was given a four-month disciplinary ban by the Sri Lankan cricket board.
Having made his return steadily in the 2004 Provincial Tournament,he drifted back into the team,and having seen Muttiah Muralitharan suffer from a shoulder injury he captured a place in the team for the one-day series against South Africa in the Champions Trophy.
Lokuarachchi was arrested after being involved in a motor vehicle accident which killed a pedestrian and injured her son in April 2003. He claimed that he had fallen asleep while driving. [2] He was subsequently banned for four months by BCCSL.
In June 2014,Lokuarachchi was banned from cricket for 18 months by the Bangladesh Premier League Anti Corruption Tribunal for failing to report an approach by a bookie. [3]

Currently,he is the head coach of the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team.
Shoaib Akhtar is a Pakistani former international cricketer and commentator. Nicknamed the "Rawalpindi Express",he is the fastest bowler in cricketing history,with an unbeaten 161.3 kmph delivery. Considered as one of the best spinners to ever play the game,Herath is the most successful left arm bowler in Test cricket history. Herath was a member of the Sri Lankan team that won the 2014 ICC World Twenty20.
Dandeniyage Somachandra de Silva also known as D. S. de Silva is a Sri Lankan former cricketer,who played Test and One Day International cricket in the 1970s and 1980s. He is the first ODI cap for Sri Lanka,second test cap for Sri Lanka and was part of Sri Lanka's first test team. He bowled leg spin,and on the tour of Pakistan in 1982 he became the first Sri Lankan bowler to take five wickets in a Test innings. He was also the oldest player to lead Sri Lanka in test cricket during a test tour to New Zealand in 1983. He is also regarded as the longest serving spinner to have played for Sri Lanka and considered one of the finest leg spinners to have emerged from Sri Lanka.
