Kelly Tamsma Piquet Souto Maior [1] [2] (born 7 December 1988) is a Brazilian model, columnist, blogger and public relations professional.

Life and career

Kelly Piquet was born in Homburg, Germany. She is the daughter of Nelson Piquet, Brazilian racing driver and three-time Formula One World Champion, and Sylvia Tamsma, a Dutch model. [3] She spent most of her childhood living in the South of France. At the age of 12, she moved to Brazil where she lived until she was 15 years old. After that Piquet returned to France, and lived there for another year before moving to England to study at a boarding school. At the age of 17, she returned to Brazil to attend her senior year of high school. [4] Piquet attended Marymount Manhattan College in New York City, majoring in International Relations with an emphasis on political science and economics. [4] [5] During college, she took an internship in fashion and decided to continue working in the area. She worked at Vogue Latinoamerica, Bergdorf Goodman, KCD PR agency, in addition to being a columnist for Marie Claire magazine. [4] [6] [7]

As a model, Piquet posed for PatBO [8] and Lucas Boccalão. [9] She has walked the ramp in some fashion shows. [10] [11]

In April 2015, Piquet became responsible for Formula E social media coverage. [7] [12]

Personal life

In January 2017, Piquet began dating Russian Formula One driver Daniil Kvyat. [13] She has a daughter Penelope with Kvyat, born in July 2019. [14] [15] In December of the same year the relationship came to an end. [16]

She has been dating Dutch three-time Formula One World Champion Max Verstappen since January 2021. [17]

Autódromo Brasília BRB is a racing circuit in Brasília, the capital of Brazil. It is 5.476 km (3.403 mi) in length that hosted a variety of national-level series including Stock Car Brasil, Formula Truck and Formula 3 Brasil. The track was initially opened in 1974, and hosted non-championship rounds for both Formula One and the BPR Global GT Series, and in recent years was scheduled to host both MotoGP and IndyCar, but due to costs and construction delays, neither event went ahead. Previously named Autódromo Emilio Medici and Autódromo de Brasília, the circuit's name was later changed to honor Formula 1 World Champion Nelson Piquet. Following the transfer of ownership from Terracap to Banco de Brasília (BRB), the track is currently named Autódromo Brasília BRB. The track, which has been closed since 2014, is undergoing renovations that started in 2022 and are set to be completed at the end of 2023.

Kvyat competed in Formula One between 2014–2017 and 2019–2020. He became the second Formula One driver from Russia and is the most successful of the three Russian drivers to date, with three podiums.

"Super Max!" is a song performed by Dutch band Pitstop Boys, who are fans of Dutch Formula One driver Max Verstappen. The song was released on 16 July 2016, accompanied by a music video.
