Kelly Tamsma Piquet Souto Maior (born 7 December 1988) is a Brazilian-Dutch model, columnist, blogger and public relations professional.

Early life and education

Kelly Tamsma Piquet Souto Maior was born in Homburg, Germany. [1] [2] She is the daughter of Nelson Piquet, Brazilian racing driver and three-time Formula One World Champion, and Sylvia Tamsma, a Dutch model. [3] She spent most of her childhood living in the South of France. At the age of 12, she moved to Brazil where she lived until she was 15 years old. After that Piquet returned to France, and lived there for another year before moving to England to study at a boarding school. At the age of 17, she returned to Brazil to attend her senior year of high school. [4] Piquet attended Marymount Manhattan College in New York City, majoring in International Relations with an emphasis on political science and economics. [4] [5]

Career

During college, she took an internship in fashion and decided to continue working in the area. She worked at Vogue Latinoamerica, Bergdorf Goodman, KCD PR agency, in addition to being a columnist for Marie Claire magazine. [4] [6] [7]

As a model, Piquet posed for PatBO [8] and Lucas Boccalão. [9] She has walked the ramp in some fashion shows. [10] [11]

In April 2015, Piquet became responsible for Formula E social media coverage. [7] [12]

Personal life

In January 2017, Piquet began dating Russian Formula One driver Daniil Kvyat. [13] She has a daughter Penelope with Kvyat, born in July 2019. [14] [15] In December of the same year the relationship came to an end. [16]

She has been dating Formula One driver Max Verstappen since October 2020. [17] [18] [19] In December 2024, they announced on Instagram that they were expecting their first child together. [20] [21]

Autódromo Brasília BRB is a racing circuit in Brasília, the capital of Brazil. It is 5.476 km (3.403 mi) in length that hosted a variety of national-level series including Stock Car Brasil, Formula Truck and Formula 3 Brasil. The track was initially opened in 1974, and hosted non-championship rounds for both Formula One and the BPR Global GT Series, and in recent years was scheduled to host both MotoGP and IndyCar, but due to costs and construction delays, neither event went ahead. Previously named Autódromo Emilio Medici and Autódromo de Brasília, the circuit's name was later changed to honor Formula 1 World Champion Nelson Piquet. Following the transfer of ownership from Terracap to Banco de Brasília (BRB), the track is currently named Autódromo Brasília BRB. The track, which has been closed since 2014, is undergoing renovations that started in 2022 and are set to be completed at the end of 2023.

The 2019 Chinese Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race that took place on 14 April 2019 at the Shanghai International Circuit in Shanghai, China. The race was the 3rd round of the 2019 Formula One World Championship, and marked the 16th time that the Chinese Grand Prix had been run as a round of the Formula One World Championship. The race also marked the 1000th World Championship race since the first World Championship race was held at the Silverstone Circuit in 1950. The 2020 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held on 13 December 2020 at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The race was the seventeenth and final race of the 2020 Formula One World Championship. Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won the race and led every lap from pole position, followed by Mercedes drivers Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton who completed the podium. Red Bull Racing got their first victory at Yas Marina in seven years. McLaren secured third place in the Constructors' Championship which saw them score their highest finish in the Constructors' Championship since 2012. This also meant that for the first time since 2015, a team other than Mercedes, Ferrari, and Red Bull finished in the top three in the Constructors' Championship. This race also marked the last time the original configuration of the Yas Marina circuit which had been used since the first Grand Prix at the venue in 2009 was used by Formula One. Grands Prix would be held on a revised layout from 2021 onwards.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2021 Stock Car Pro Series</span>

The 2021 Stock Car Pro Series was the forty-third season of Stock Car Brasil. Gabriel Casagrande of A.Mattheis Vogel Motorsport won the Drivers' Championship for the first time in his career. The 3-time champion Daniel Serra of Eurofarma RC finished runner up. Eurofarma RC won the Teams' Championship.

The 2022 F4 Brazilian Championship was the inaugural season of the F4 Brazilian Championship. It was a multi-event motor racing championship for open wheel, formula racing cars regulated according to FIA Formula 4 regulations. The championship used Tatuus F4 T-421 chassis.
