Khoi Alexander Young (born December 31, 2002) is an American artistic gymnast. He has been a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team since 2022 and was a member of the bronze medal-winning team at the 2023 World Championships. He competes in collegiate gymnastics for Stanford. He is the 2023 Pan American champion on the pommel horse. In June 2024, he was named an alternate to the U.S. men's team for the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Young was born in Bowie, Maryland, on December 31, 2002, to Kevin and Lucille Young. He has two siblings. [1]
He attended Bowie High School before enrolling at Stanford University to pursue gymnastics.
Young competed at the 2019 Winter Cup where he placed 7th in the all-around but won gold on floor exercise and silver on vault. [2] In May, Young was selected at the alternate for the inaugural Junior World Championships. [3]
In August, Young competed at the U.S. National Championships in the 15-16 age division and finished 5th in the all-around. He won gold on pommel horse, silver on floor exercise, and bronze on parallel bars. [4]
In early 2020, Young competed at the RD761 Gymnastics Invitational where he helped Team USA win silver behind Japan. [5] Individually, Young won silver in the all-around behind Motomu Yoshida and picked up three additional medals during event finals. He next competed at the Winter Cup and placed 18th in the all-around. [6] The remainder of the competitive season was canceled due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Young returned to competition at the 2021 Winter Cup and placed third on vault and fifth on pommel horse. [7] At the 2021 National Championships, Young placed 22nd in the all-around. [8]
Young began competing for the Stanford Cardinal in the 2021–2022 season. He competed at the 2022 Winter Cup where he placed second in the all-around behind Vitaliy Guimaraes. [9] [10] During event finals he won gold on pommel horse and silver on vault behind Asher Hong. As a result Young was selected to represent the USA at the DTB Pokal Team Challenge in Stuttgart alongside Guimaraes, Hong, Brody Malone, and Yul Moldauer. [11] At the NCAA Championship Young helped Stanford defend their national title. Additionally he placed second on vault behind Paul Juda. [12]
In late July Young competed at the U.S. Classic where he placed fourth in the all-around. [13]
Young was selected to represent the United States at the Pan American Championships alongside Yul Moldauer, Curran Phillips, Shane Wiskus, and Taylor Christopulos. Young helped the USA qualify for the team final on the first day of competition. Individually he won gold on pommel horse. On the final day of competition Young helped the USA win their second consecutive team title. [14] In August Young competed at the Core Hydration Classic. He won silver in the all-around and on pommel horse and vault and placed third on floor exercise. [15]
Young later competed at the Xfinity National Championships where he placed second in the all-around behind Asher Hong. [16] The following day he was named to the team to compete at the upcoming World Championships alongside Hong, Fred Richard, Yul Moldauer, Paul Juda, and alternate Colt Walker. [17]
At the World Championships, Young helped the USA qualify for the team final in second place. Individually he qualified for the pommel horse and vault finals. During the team final he contributed scores on pommel horse, vault, and horizontal bar toward the USA's third-place finish. In doing so, he helped the USA win their first team medal in nine years. [18] During event finals Young won silver on both pommel horse (behind Rhys McClenaghan) and vault (behind Jake Jarman). In doing so Young became the first American male since Paul Hamm in 2003 to win three medals at a single world championship and the first American male since Kurt Thomas and Bart Conner in 1979 to win multiple individual apparatus medals at a single world championship. Young competed at the NCAA Championships in mid-April where he helped Stanford win their fifth consecutive team title. Individually Young won the all-around ahead of Fred Richard and Fuzzy Benas. [20] At the 2024 National Championships Young finished third in the all-around behind Brody Malone and Richard. [21]
In June, Young competed at the U.S. Olympic Trials, where he placed 15th in the all-around (151.200), [22] 8th on floor (27.950), 14th on pommel horse (25.900), 16th on rings (13.000), 8th on parallel bars (28.950), and 15th on horizontal bar (25.350). [23] On June 29, he was named as an alternate to the U.S. Olympic Team for the 2024 Summer Olympics. [24]

Alexander Vladimirovich Artemev is a retired American artistic gymnast. Artemev was a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team and won an Olympic bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics. He is the 2006 all-around U.S. national champion. Known for his ability on the pommel horse, he was the 2007 and 2008 U.S. national champion on the pommel horse and the bronze medalist in the event at the 2006 World Championships.
Samuel Anthony Mikulak is an American gymnastics coach. A retired artistic gymnast, he was a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team. He is a six-time U.S. national all-around champion, the 2018 World bronze medalist on the horizontal bar, and a three-time Olympian. He is also an eight-time NCAA champion, winning the team, individual all-around, and several individual event titles at the 2011, 2013, and 2014 NCAA Men's Gymnastics championships. In 2023, he started serving as a gymnastics coach at EVO Gymnastics.
Alec Yoder is a retired American artistic gymnast. He was a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team and represented the United States at the 2020 Olympic Games, competing as an individual athlete. He is the 2014 Youth Olympic all-around bronze medalist and the 2019 NCAA champion on pommel horse.
Yul Kyung-Tae Moldauer is an American artistic gymnast. He is the 2017 U.S. national all-around champion and the 2017 World bronze medalist on floor exercise. He has been a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team since 2017 and represented the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics and was a member of the bronze medal-winning team at the 2023 World Championships.
Félix Dolci is a Canadian male artistic gymnast. He represented Canada at the 2024 Summer Olympics. He is the 2023 Pan American Games all-around and floor exercise champion and the 2019 Junior World Champion on rings. He has been a member of the Canadian national team since 2017.
Nazar Vyacheslavovich Chepurnyi is a Ukrainian artistic gymnast. He represented Ukraine at the 2024 Summer Olympics. He was part of the gold medal winning team at the 2024 European Championships and the silver medal winning team at the 2019 Junior World Championships. Individually on vault he is the 201 World University Games champion, 2018 Youth Olympic silver medalist, and the 2023 World and 2024 European bronze medalist. Additionally he is the 2019 Junior World champion on horizontal bar.
Brandon Briones is an American artistic gymnast. He has been a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team and is the 2018 Youth Olympic vault champion. Briones was an alternate for the 2020 Olympic men's gymnastics team.
Stephen John Nedoroscik is an American artistic gymnast. A pommel horse specialist, he is a two-time Olympic medalist, the 2021 world champion—the first and only American to win the event—a two-time FIG World Cup champion, a four-time U.S. national champion, and a two-time NCAA national champion for the apparatus.
John Brody Malone is an American artistic gymnast. He has been a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team since 2020 and represented the United States at the 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games. He was a member of the bronze medal-winning team at the 2024 Summer Olympics. He is a three-time United States national all-around champion. On horizontal bar, he is the 2021 World Championship bronze medalist and the 2022 World Champion. With three Olympic and World Championship medals, Malone is tied as the ninth most decorated U.S. male gymnast of all time. He is also a ten-time NCAA National Champion.
Shane Michael Wiskus is an American artistic gymnast who is a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team. He represented the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics and was named as an alternative for the 2024 Summer Olympics. Additionally, he represented the United States at the 2019 World Championships and is a three-time NCAA Champion.
Paul Wojciech Juda is an American artistic gymnast. He is a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team. He was a member of the bronze medal-winning team at the 2023 World Championships and the bronze medal-winning team at the 2024 Olympic Games. He was also a two-time silver medalist at the 2021 Pan American Championships. In NCAA Gymnastics, he competes for the Michigan Wolverines, where he has won five Big Ten titles and three individual NCAA championships.
Riley Austin Loos is an American artistic gymnast. He was a member of the gold medal-winning team at both the 2018 and 2022 Pan American Championships. He has been a United States men's national gymnastics team member and competed in collegiate gymnastics for Stanford.
Vitaliy Guimaraes is an American artistic gymnast. He was a member of the silver medal-winning team at the 2021 Pan American Championships. He was a member of the USA national team and competed for the University of Oklahoma in collegiate gymnastics.
Colt Barrett Walker is an American artistic gymnast. He is a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team and competes in collegiate gymnastics for the Stanford Cardinal. He was a member of the gold medal-winning team at the 2022 Pan American Championships and was the alternate for the bronze medal-winning team at the 2023 World Championships. He is the 2019 junior Winter Cup and National Champion.
Asher Keen Wah Hong is an American artistic gymnast and a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team. Taylor Anthony Burkhart is an American artistic gymnast. He was a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team and is currently competing in collegiate gymnastics for Stanford. He was the alternate for the gold medal-winning team at the 2022 Pan American Championships.
Jeremy Reece Bischoff is an American men's artistic gymnast. He is a Senior National Team Member of the US Gymnastics National Team and competes in collegiate gymnastics as an all-arounder for the Stanford University Men's Gymnastics Team. He was a member of the fourth-placing team at the 2023 DTP Pokal Mixed Cup in Stuttgart, Germany. He finished seventh place all-around at the 2024 U.S. Winter Cup in Louisville, Kentucky with a combined score of 163.00, also securing the silver medal on horizontal bar. He finished in sixth place all-around at the 2023 U.S. Classic with an 80.150. He won gold for the parallel bars title and silver in the all-around at the 2018 Men's Junior Olympic National Championships in Oklahoma City, OK. He was the California State All-Around Champion in 2019.
Patrick Walker Hoopes is an American artistic gymnast who specializes in the pommel horse. He is a member of the USA national team and currently competes for the Air Force Falcons in NCAA gymnastics.
