Career

Breckin started out in the youth system at Rotherham United, before leaving The Millers at the age of 11 to join Premier League club Manchester City in July 2015. [4] In the summer of 2022, Breckin signed a new contract at Manchester City, which ties him down until the summer of 2027. [5]

During the 2022–2023 season, Breckin was part of the under-21 Manchester City team that won the Premier League 2, scoring 8 goals. [6]

In July 2023, Breckin joined League One club Wycombe Wanderers on a season–long loan, [7] but after making just nine appearances across all competitions, Breckin was recalled by his parent club on 4 January 2024. [8]

On 12 August 2024, Breckin joined League Two side Crewe Alexandra on a season-long loan, [9] with Breckin making his debut for The Railwaymen in the Carabao Cup a day later, as he played 56 minutes of the game being replaced by Joel Tabiner, during Crewe's 2–1 loss against Rotherham United in the first round.
