Kickboxing , for the 2013 World Combat Games were held at the Yubileiny - Sports Complex 'Yubileiny' Halls 1 and 2 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. [1] The preliminary rounds took place on 21 and 23 October 2013. Medals were awarded on the 25 October 2013.

Artem Olegovich Vakhitov is a Russian Muay Thai kickboxer who competes in the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions. Farinaz Lari is an Iranian kickboxer. She was the first Iranian woman to win the World Kickboxing Championships. She is currently the 52 kg World Number Five ranked contender in K-1 Rules WAKO as of November 2017.

Haidar Mohammed Alasadi is an Iraqi kickboxer. He is the 2013 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games Champion, former Arabian Champion, former Asian Champion of 2012 in Kickboxing and qualified for the 2013 World Combat Games but lost at the quarter finals.

Kickboxing at the 2017 World Games

The kickboxing event at the World Games 2017 was held at the Orbita Hall in Poland. For the first time, Kickboxing was included in the World Games 2017 as an invitational sport.
