The Second Cabinet of Kim Kielsen was the Government of Greenland, in office between 2 February 2016 and 27 October 2016. It was a coalition majority government consisting of Siumut, Demokraatit and Atassut.

Siumut is a political party in Greenland in the social democratic tradition. Since the establishment of home rule in 1979, it has been the dominant party in Greenland. Siumut is led by Erik Jensen, who beat the then-incumbent Prime Minister Kim Kielsen in a tight leadership contest in late 2020.

General elections were held in Greenland on 2 June 2009. Prime Minister Hans Enoksen announced the election date on 15 April 2009, stating that he would prefer for a newly elected parliament to administer Greenland when the self-government reform took effect on 21 June 2009. The reform gave more power to the Greenlandic parliament with decisions on most issues being devolved to the parliament but defence and foreign affairs remaining under the control of Denmark.

Naalakkersuisut is the chief executive body and the government of Greenland since the island became self-governing in 1979. An autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark, takes place in a framework of a parliamentary representative democratic territory, whereby the premier leads the cabinet, and of a multi-party system.

General elections were held in Greenland on 12 March 2013. The opposition Siumut party emerged as the largest in Parliament, winning 14 of the 31 seats. On 26 March Siumut leader Aleqa Hammond became Greenland's first female Prime Minister.

Aleqa Hammond is a Greenlandic politician and former member of the Danish Folketing (parliament). Formerly the leader of the Siumut party, she became Greenland's first female prime minister after her party emerged as the largest parliamentary faction in the 2013 elections. In 2014 she stepped down as Prime Minister and leader of Siumut, following a case of misuse of public funds. She was expelled from Siumut on 23 August 2016 after yet another case of misuse of public funds and became an independent. On 31 March 2018 she announced that she would be running in the 2018 Greenlandic parliamentary election for the Siumut breakaway Nunatta Qitornai.

Kim Kielsen is a Greenlandic politician, who served as leader of the Siumut party and sixth prime minister of Greenland between 2014 and 2021.

The First Cabinet of Kim Kielsen was a former administration of Greenland. It was appointed on 10 December 2014 with Kim Kielsen from Forward (Siumut) as Prime Minister, leading a coalition between Forward (Siumut), Democrats (Demokraatit) and Solidarity (Atassut). It was a majority government, composed of both right-wing and left-wing members. It was replaced by the Kielsen II Cabinet on 2 February 2016.

The Third Cabinet of Kim Kielsen was the Government of Greenland, in office between 27 October 2016 and 15 May 2018, where it was dissolved following a general election. It was a coalition majority government consisting of Siumut, Inuit Ataqatigiit and Partii Naleraq.

Vittus Qujaukitsoq is a Greenlandic politician. Qujaukitsoq was appointed as Minister of Finance and Interior of Aleqa Hammond cabinet from May 2013 to November 2014. After November 2014 to 2017 Qujaukitsoq was Minister of Industry, Labour, Trade and Foreign Affairs of Kim Kielsen cabinet. After disagreements on complaint to United Nations for environmental restoration of former U.S. Military installations in Greenland. He was previously a member of Siumut, and served as Minister of Industry, Labour, Trade and Foreign Affairs, caretaker as Minister of Finance and Foreign Affairs on two occasions during 2014-2017 in the Kielsen government.

It was a coalition majority government consisting of Siumut, Atassut, Nunatta Qitornai and Partii Naleraq.

Erik Jensen is a Greenlandic politician currently serving as the leader of Siumut and the former Minister of Mineral Resources and Labor. He is a strong proponent of the Greenland independence movement.

Snap general elections were held in Greenland on 6 April 2021 alongside local elections. Inuit Ataqatigiit emerged as the largest party, winning 12 of the 31 seats in the Inatsisartut. The governing Siumut party finished second with 10 seats.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Frederiksen II Cabinet</span> Incumbent Government of Denmark

The Frederiksen II Cabinet (colloquially, the SVM government took office on 15 December 2022 and succeeded the Frederiksen I Cabinet following the 2022 Danish general election. Headed by Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, it is a grand coalition consisting of the Social Democrats, Venstre, and the Moderates. It was announced on 13 December following a record 42 days of negotiations. The government is supported by the Union Party and the Social Democratic Party from the Faroe Islands, as well as Siumut and Inuit Ataqatigiit from Greenland. The Social Liberals has also said that it intends to be neither a supporting party nor part of the opposition. As the government has 89 of the 179 seats in the Folketing, it effectively operates as a majority government.
