Killi Kateer Kuchlak is a small village near Kuchlak some kilometers far away from the Valley of Quetta in Pakistan. [1] The majority of the village's residents are tribal people, and the Kasi are the ancient residents of the area. Various tribes including the Achakzai, Syeds, Khurasani, and Khiljis are residents of the area.

2008 Ziarat earthquakes Earthquake in Balochistan, Pakistan

The 2008 Ziarat earthquakes hit the Pakistani province of Balochistan on October 29 with a moment magnitude of 6.4. The US Geological Survey reported that the first earthquake occurred 60 km (37 mi) north of Quetta and 185 km (115 mi) southeast of the Afghanistan city of Kandahar at 04:09 local time at a depth of 15 km (9.3 mi), at 30.653°N, 67.323°E. It was followed by another shallower magnitude 6.4 earthquake at a depth of 14 km (8.7 mi) approximately 12 hours after the initial shock, at 30.546°N, 67.447°E. 215 people were confirmed dead. More than 200 were injured, and 120,000 were homeless. The New York Times reported that Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, director general of Pakistan Meteorological Department, stated the quake epicenter was 70 miles (110 km) north of Quetta, and about 600 km (370 mi) southwest of Islamabad.

Madrassa Chattha is a village located in the Gujranwala district, Pakistan. It is located about 7 km west of Alipur Chattha. The village is inhabited by the Jatt Chatha Tribe and has an estimated population of about 2000 people. Most of the residents have lands in the adjoining areas and are "Zamindars". The main way to get to the village is to take a small paved path from the main Alipur-Qadirabad Road near Hazrat Keliyanwala. Demra massacre 1971 killing of Bengali Hindus by the Pakistan Army during the Bangladesh Liberation War

Demra massacre in Bangladesh was the massacre of unarmed Hindu residents of the villages under Demra Union in present-day Faridpur Upazila in Pabna District by the occupying Pakistan Army aided by local collaborators on 13 May 1971. It is estimated that 800–900 people were killed in a single day. Rape and plunder were also carried out, and mosques, temples, schools and houses were set on fire.

Char Bhadrasan massacre refers to the massacre of unarmed Hindu residents in Char Bhadrasan in Faridpur district by the Pakistani occupation army and the Razakars in the middle of May 1971. Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mojaheed, the leader of Jamaat-e-Islami led a team of Razakars and Pakistani army to the Hindu-dominated villages of Baidyadangi, Majhidangi and Baladangi where they massacred 50-60 unarmed Bengali Hindus. The attackers set fire to 300-350 Hindu households forcing them to flee the country.

Dhoke Habib is a village of Union Council Mandrah of Tehsil Gujar Khan, District Rawalpindi, Punjab, Pakistan. The village is well known for its dignity, family unity, discipline and nobleness. It is situated approximately 36 kilometers south of Rawalpindi.

Shahbaz Taseer is a Pakistani businessman, and the son of the former Governor of Punjab (Pakistan) Salman Taseer. In August 2011, following his father's assassination, he was kidnapped by militants in Lahore while he was driving to his office from home. Taseer was held in captivity for around four and a half years and was recovered from Kuchlak, Balochistan on 8 March 2016. Taseer's kidnapping was referred as one of the most high-profile kidnappings in Pakistan by The Guardian. BBC's HARDtalk interviewed Taseer about his days in captivity. In an interview, he mentioned that he was held by Uzbek militants, before eventually being passed to the Taliban.

Rohri–Chaman Railway Line is one of four main railway lines in Pakistan, operated and maintained by Pakistan Railways. The line begins from Rohri Junction station and ends at Chaman station. The total length of this railway line is 523 kilometers (325 mi). There are 35 railway stations from Rohri Junction to Chaman on this line and is famous for passing through the historic Bolan pass. This line incorporates part of the historic Sind–Pishin State Railway.

The M10 is a motorway proposed in Punjab and Balouchistan province, Pakistan. The motorway would be 570 km long, out of which 190 km would be in Punjab province and 380 km in Baluchistan province. It would be 4 laned and on completion would reduce travelling time from Multan to Quetta to 7 hours from 18 hours.

East Afghan montane conifer forests Ecoregion on the Afghanistan-Pakistan border

The East Afghan montane conifer forests ecoregion covers a series of unconnected conifer forests along the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan, at elevations of 2,000 metres (6,600 ft) to 3,400 metres (11,200 ft) above sea level. The ecoregion supports the near-threatened Markhor (Capra falconeri chiltanensis), known as the Screw-horned goat, the national animal of Pakistan. The forests of the ecoregion have been heavily thinned for timber.
