Jonathan Kiprono Langat Magerer is a Kenyan politician. He is a former member Orange Democratic Movement and was elected to represent the Kipkelion Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya since the 2007 Kenyan parliamentary election. [1] While in Parliament, he served as Deputy Chief Whip for ODM. He is remembered as one person who continues to serve Kenyans with dedication. On July 1, Langat was nominated as Executive Director of the Orange Democratic Movement, succeeding Janet Ongera. He was forceful ejected from ODMs National Executive Council meeting in October 2014 Hon. Magerer Langat Has continued to Serve the people of kiokelion constituency and Kericho County at large with diligence and dedication. He is seen from season to season participating in various public development initiatives, including fundraisers to build schools and for community development. As a seasoned politician, he has continued to champion for the efforts to revive development projects in the county, and enhance capacity building for his people. Reliable sources says that He will be contesting for the Kericho County Gubernatorial seat in 2022, seeking to succeed Prof. Paul chepkwony. [2]

2007 Kenyan general election

General elections were held in Kenya on 27 December 2007. Voters elected the President, and members of the National Assembly. They coincided with the 2007 Kenyan local elections.

David Kimutai Too was a Kenyan politician affiliated to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM). He was a high school teacher and then a principal from Kericho in Rift Valley, Kenya before being elected to the National Assembly from Ainamoi Constituency from a field of 13 candidates in the December 2007 parliamentary election. Charles Keter, a fellow Member of Parliament, described Too as "a very humble, quiet man." The "List of alleged perpetrators" of the 2007/2008 post-electoral violence of the Kenya National Human Rights Commission however lists him among the suspects on place 3 and charges him with "planning, incitement, and financing the violence".

Kipkalya Kiprono Kones was a Kenyan politician who served as a minister during the 1990s and was briefly Minister of Roads in 2008. He was a member of the National Assembly of Kenya from 1988 to 2008.

Lorna Chepkemoi Laboso was a Kenyan politician of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM). She was briefly a Member of Parliament and Assistant Minister in 2008.

Wycliffe Oparanya Kenyan politician

H.E. Hon. Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya, EGH is a Kenyan politician, serving as the incumbent governor of Kakamega County and Council of Governors chairperson. He was elected 4 March 2013 and became the first governor of Kakamega County following promulgation of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, and subsequently in August 2017, for his second term as the governor. He is, therefore, the pioneer Governor of Kakamega County under the devolved system of governance in Kenya that established 47 counties. He was previously Minister of State for Planning, National Development and Vision 2030 in the government of President Mwai Kibaki. He was appointed on 14 January 2019 as the Council of Governors of Kenya chairperson. He was rated as the best Governor for the year 2020 by the Infotrak Research Group. H.E Wycliffe Oparanya is also the current Orange Democratic Movement Deputy party leader.

Charles Lilechi Lugano (1950–2009) was a Kenyan politician. He belonged to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and was elected to represent the Shinyalu Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya since the 2007 Kenyan parliamentary election.

Peter Anyang' Nyong'o is a Kenyan politician and author who is the Governor of Kisumu County. He is a former Secretary-General of Orange Democratic Movement. Professor Nyong'o was the acting party leader from March 11 until late May when Raila Odinga was in the United States and was elected to the National Assembly of Kenya in the December 2007 parliamentary election, representing the Kisumu Rural Constituency. He was the Minister for Medical Services and previously the Minister for Planning & National Development. He is currently serving as the Governor for Kisumu County after serving as the Senator from 2013 to 2017.

Otieno Kajwang Kenyan politician

Gerald Otieno Kajwang was a Kenyan politician. He belonged to the Orange Democratic Movement and was elected to represent the Mbita Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya in the December 2007 parliamentary election. In the bitterly contested 2013 elections, Otieno Kajwang was elected to represent Homa Bay County in the Senate of Kenya. Upon his death, his brother, Moses Otieno Kajwang won the election to succeed him in Parliament, representing Homa Bay.

Hassan Ali Joho is a Kenyan politician and the current Governor of Mombasa County affiliated with the Orange Democratic Movement. He was also elected to represent the Kisauni Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya during the 2007 Kenyan parliamentary election. On 4 March 2013, during the general election, Joho was elected as the first governor of Mombasa County. In 2017 General Elections Day in Kenya held on 8th, 8th, 2017, Joho defended his seat on an ODM ticket, he is the ongoing governor of Mombasa County, County 001. Despite significant politically engineered setbacks, Joho emerged triumphant by winning with 220 576 votes against his closest rival Suleimann Shabal with 69 322 votes, Suleimann is a member of the Jubilee Party.

Mwalimu Masudi Mwahima was a Kenyan politician. He belonged to the Orange Democratic Movement and was elected to represent the Likoni Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya since the 2007 Kenyan parliamentary election.

Hon Adan Keynan Wehliye was a football player who played the right back National Assembly MP in Northern Kenya. He served Wajir West from 1997 to 2002, and then from 2007 to 2013. He then moved to Eldas constituency which was curved from Wajir West. Keynan served as Eldas MP in the 11th Parliament and he was then re-elected to serve the same constituency in 12th parliament. Nyagarama, formally known as John Obiero Nyagarama, was a Kenyan politician. He was the first Governor of Nyamira County, deputised by Amos Nyaribo. He was a member of the Orange Democratic Movement and was elected in March 2013, subsequently retaining his seat for a second term beginning August 2017.

Benard Otieno Okoth is a Kenyan politician. He is a Member of Parliament of Kenya, representing Kibra Constituency, Nairobi County.
