Kirk McKenzie (born 9 November 2000) is a Jamaican cricketer. [1] [2] In August 2021,he was named in the Jamaica Tallawahs' squad for the 2021 Caribbean Premier League. [3] He made his Twenty20 debut on 5 September 2021,for the Jamaica Tallawahs in the 2021 Caribbean Premier League. [4] Prior to his Twenty20 debut,he was part of the West Indies' squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. [5]
He made his first-class debut on 1 June 2022,for Jamaica in the 2021–22 West Indies Championship. [6]
In July 2023,McKenzie was named in a West Indies squad for the first time,being called up for the side's Test match against India. [7] In December 2023,McKenzie was again selected in the Test squad for the side's tour of Australia in January 2024. [8] In the first innings of the first test,he scored 50 runs against Australia. [9] In the second innings he scored 26 runs off 35 balls. [10]
Jerome Everton Taylor is a Jamaican cricketer who has played as a fast bowler for the West Indies. Taylor eventually picked up 100 wickets for the Windies in both tests and odis. During 2017 he reversed an initial decision to retire from international cricket. Taylor has also featured for Jamaica,English sides Somerset,Leicestershire and Sussex,CPL teams St Lucia Zouks and Jamaica Tallawahs and IPL sides Pune Warriors and Mumbai Indians in his cricketing career. Taylor was a member of the West Indies team that won the 2016 T20 World Cup. He is the only bowler to have ever taken a hat-trick in a Champions Trophy match,which he did in the 2006 tournament against Australia,and that was the first hat-trick taken by a West Indian bowler in the ODI format.
Daren Ganga is a former Trinidadian cricketer. He was a right-handed top order batsman and part-time right-arm off spinner. He was named the 2006 West Indies Players' Association 'Test player of the year',Ganga captained the Windies' youth,A and senior teams together with Trinidad and Tobago. He made his international debut for the West Indies cricket team in November 2022. He is the eldest son of West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul. He played the role of cricketer Larry Gomes in the Bollywood film 83.
Shai Diego Hope is a Barbadian cricketer,who plays as a wicketkeeper/batsman for the West Indies cricket team. He is also the current ODI captain of the Windies. In June 2018,he was named the Men's Cricketer of the Year,Test Cricketer of the Year and the ODI Cricketer of the Year at the annual Cricket West Indies' Awards. The following year,he was named the CWI ODI Player of the Year. He is generally regarded as one of the best ODI batsmen in the contemporary cricketing world.
