Kooler Than Jesus is an EP released by electronic industrial rock band My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult in 1990. It contains the original "Kooler Than Jesus" 12" single along with two other previously release 12" singles, "My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult" and "Some Have to Dance...Some Have to Kill". [1]
The lead track, "Kooler Than Jesus", was later remixed in 1990 for the band's second album Confessions of a Knife... . In 1994, "Nervous Xians" was heavily reworked and then retitled to "After the Flesh" for the soundtrack to the film The Crow , and the band also performed the song during the film itself. All of the tracks on the EP was later included on the 2004 compilation My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult.

Kooler Than Jesus received positive reviews. Vincent Jeffries of AllMusic called it "one of the industrial genre's significant early-‘90s releases". [1] Raul Stanciu of Sputnik Music called it "a huge achievement for the band". [2]

My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult is an American electronic industrial rock band originally based in Chicago and founded by Groovie Mann and Buzz McCoy. They became known in the 1980s as pioneers of the industrial music genre – although by the early 1990s they had changed to a more disco-oriented sound – and as a frequent target of censorship groups, including the PMRC, which objected to the band's humorous and satirical references to Satan, Jesus and sex in their song lyrics and stage shows.
KMFDM is a multinational industrial band from Hamburg led by Sascha Konietzko, who founded the band in 1984 as a performance art project.

"The Days of Swine & Roses" originally appeared on the My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult album Confessions of a Knife. An edited version of the Thrill Kill Kult remix of "Naïve" was made into a music video, and reached No. 21 on Billboard's Dance/Club Play Songs Chart on March 23, 1991. "The Days of Swine & Roses" was ranked No. 61 on COMA Music Magazine's 101 Greatest Industrial Songs of All Time.
