Krishna Bahadur Basnet (born 17 February 1959) is a Nepalese long-distance runner. He competed in the men's marathon at the 1988 Summer Olympics. [1]
Sikkim Janata Party was a political party in Sikkim. The party was founded in Gangtok on December 18, 1969 founded by Lal Bahadur Basnet. The party was formed after a split in the Sikkim National Congress. Basnet, a well-known journalist and former general secretary of the Sikkim National Congress, served as the president of the party. K.C. Pradhan was the general secretary of the party.

Kaji Karbir Pande was one of the sons of Mulkaji Damodar Pande. After King Rana Bahadur's reinstatement to power, he ordered the execution of Damodar Pande, along with his two eldest sons, who were completely innocent, to be executed on 13 March 1804; similarly some members of his faction were tortured and executed without any due trial, while many others managed to escape to India. Basain is a 1957 Nepali novel written by Lil Bahadur Chettri. It was published by Sajha Prakashan and is included in the curriculum of Tribhuvan University. Chettri, an Assamese Nepali writer wrote this book incorporating the experience of different Nepalese immigrants in India. The book depicts life of a poor farmer and his family in a rural village in hilly Nepal and the circumstances under which they are forced to emigrate away from their village.
