Kriti Sanon is an Indian actress who predominantly works in Hindi films. In 2014, she made her debut with the Telugu film 1: Nenokkadine and had her first Hindi release with the action film Heropanti , which earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Debut. [1]

She achieved wider recognition with the romantic action film Dilwale (2015), which ranks among her highest-grossing releases. [2] Her performance in the comedy Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017) was well-received, earning her several nominations for Best Actress. [3] [4]

Two years later, Sanon starred in the commercially successful comedies Luka Chuppi and Housefull 4 , with the latter ranking among the year's highest-grossers. [5] This was followed by unremarkable roles in the comedy Arjun Patiala and as Parvatibai in the period drama Panipat , which generally went unnoticed. [6] [7] However, her performance as an aspiring actress who becomes a surrogate mother the following year in Mimi (2021) garnered critical acclaim, earning her the National Film Award for Best Actress as well as her first Filmfare Award for Best Actress. [8] [9] [10] This was followed by a series of poorly-received box-office bombs between 2022 and 2023, including the big-budget action films Adipurush and Ganapath in which her roles were dismissed as ornamental. [11] [12] [13] Her career saw renewed success in 2024 with critical praise for her roles as a humanoid robot in the romance Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and as a flight attendant in the comedy Crew ; [14] [15] both rank among the highest-grossing Hindi films of the year. [16] She also produced and starred in the Netflix thriller film Do Patti under her company Blue Butterfly Films, for which she received the IIFA Award for Best Actress. [17]
